This position reports to: Operations Manager AUEN EUOPC __ Your role and responsibilities: Plan and ensure execution of Local Business Line projects for ST/ GTs Turbine Control. Complete assignments on multiple TCS projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety. In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for: Coordinates engineering discipline across several Turbine projects, provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities. Designs and conducts experiments, analyzes and interprets data, prepares complete project documents in one’s area of responsibility. Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviews and approves scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliveries on time and within targeted cost. Improves effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions. Collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers. Provides technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services. Develops, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and tools. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc). Qualifications for the role: Master degree in electrical or automation and minimum 3 years experience in ST/GTs Turbine control applications and projects. Knowledge of Ansaldo GT26 turbine process is considered a strong plus. Technical Experience working with Automation and Electrical products and solutions in Oil & Gas, and/or Power Generation domain. Strong background of Automation (DCS, I&C –Instrumentation and Control,Protection, etc). Knowledge of ABB Control System is considered a plus General understanding of network engineering and IT/IS is a plus (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, Virus scanners, interfaces, backup, Cyber security). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and related business and engineering software applications (CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.). Previous experience of Automation projects with Turbine OEM is a plus. Have a customer focused mentality that fosters strong customer relationships and long-term commitments, both internal and external to ABB. Availability to participate, if and when required, to commissioning activities (in Italy and abroad). Excellent English communication skills.
