Join our innovative team where you will conduct critical research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support Ventana projects. As a Senior Research Scientist, you will exercise technical expertise and discretion to design and execute experiments that directly contribute to our project strategies. You will work in a collaborative environment, driving scientific innovation while maintaining a high level of professional expertise. The Opportunity You design experimental plans to support project objectives and act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. You execute bench experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses. You work on extremely complex problems in which the analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables. You participate in or lead cross-functional technical teams, such as failure investigation or core teams, and establish interfaces across other organizational groups. You troubleshoot problems, institute corrective actions, and identify and implement improvements to work processes and the laboratory environment. You ensure quality by adhering to company policies for GMP, GLP, and Design Control, while maintaining complete and accurate records. You prepare, present, and discuss experimental procedures and results within the department and project teams. You act as a productive team member by suggesting creative solutions, providing input to project planning, and training others in your areas of expertise. Who you are You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science plus 6 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree in Science plus at least 1 year of related experience. You are a recognized expert across a wide range of experimental techniques and are highly skilled in their applications. You are capable of searching scientific literature to gain general and specific information to maintain your professional expertise. You are skilled in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and graphical and presentation software. You work well in a team environment, exercise independent judgment, and may supervise lower-level personnel and laboratory operations. Preferred Prior histological experience, particularly with IHC, is strongly preferred. Current HT or HTL certification is a plus. A track record of recognizing and documenting activities for publication and/or patent potential, or contributing to scientific journals and conferences. Relocation benefits are not available for this posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is 69 700,00 - 129 400,00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
