The Role: As a member of the Core Performance Architecture Modelling team, you will contribute your expertise in CPU microarchitecture development, performance modelling, and analysis. This role offers opportunities to deepen technical contributions in CPU microarchitecture performance simulator development, workload and performance analysis, model correlation, and feature definition. The Person: The successful candidate will have experience in a comparable technical role within a product-focused environment that is driving innovation in high-performance computing. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and bring creativity, curiosity, and initiative to your work and professional development. Key Responsibilities: Develop expertise in cycle-accurate core microarchitecture performance simulator development, workload and trace analysis, microarchitecture development, and RTL-to-performance model correlation. Collaborate with a team of hardware and software engineers to develop innovative features that optimize CPU microarchitecture performance. Partner with design teams on broader architectural features and contribute to methodology improvements. Preferred Experience: Proficiency in C++ and scripting languages. Background in computer architecture through academic study and/or industry experience. Experience with cycle-accurate microarchitecture performance simulator development. Experience with pre-silicon performance analysis. Knowledge of computing software, including operating systems, compilers, and applications. Evidence of technical leadership, innovation, or perseverance through publications, patents, or other industry contributions. Academic Credentials: Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. We know that no candidate meets every qualification.
