Introduction The Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the installations, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer sites and is responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer. Local site Customer Support branches perform these tasks for the customer within the specific region. This role sits within ASML's Yieldstar Equipment Sustaining team that is client specific to TSMC. The Field Service Engineer - Yieldstar has a leading role in the team and interacts with the customer on diverse levels. The Field Service Engineer - Yieldstar executes regular and irregular maintenance activities with considerable independency and under limited supervision. They will need work as a team and/or independently to need to either diagnose, complete tool actions and/or escalate to central team. Roles and ResponsibilitiesGather all information relevant for the problem, analyze using available means, gather additional diagnostic info if needed, decide on initial approach to solve problem and execute, consult with others. Handover problem or problem aspects to others (central support), document and package all data relevant for problem resolution (e.g. pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, technical reports). Use tools, replace parts, improve settings, to execute repairs and standard service actions independently. Based on arranged customer machine time window to arrange for all (possible) parts, tools, equipment and information / knowledge to be available at start of procedure, execute procedure. Explain appropriate actions to users to correct malfunctions, train customers in use and routine maintenance of equipment, recommend changes in user procedures when needed Signal gaps and improvement opportunities and reports it to the relevant stakeholders Maintain and broaden own knowledge, shares best known methods within the work group. Provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced engineers on first tasks. Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in relevant Technical Field or equivalent combination of education, skills & experience Minimum 3 years experience in work experience in a similar role. Minimum 2 years experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Other Information Legal/export license control (see below) Expect to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%. This role requires shift work and will be assigned Front half/Back half days or Front half/Back half swing shift. All employees must be able to pass an extensive background check to obtain customer clearance. Expect to spend more than 50% of work time inside the clean room working with electromechanical equipment. Non-exempt position requires domestic and international travel, and the willingness to work flexible shifts and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; extensive overtime may be required during upgrade execution. Valid driver’s license and passport required. At times, job requires standing for long periods of time and moving tools and equipment up to 40 lbs. in weight unaided. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
