The Logistics Specialist II, reporting directly to the Supply Chain / Logistics Manager, is responsible for supporting warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and distribution activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, material flow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall warehouse organization. The incumbent serves as an experienced logistics resource, providing operational support, cross-functional coordination, and backup coverage across shipping and receiving activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.Warehouse & Inventory Operations Support manufacturing through timely and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Receive, inspect, label, and appropriately store incoming materials and packages. Execute accurate inventory transactions within ERP systems (SAP preferred). Participate in cycle count programs and inventory reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy targets. Support inter-site/inter-plant material transfers as required. Receiving Operations Receive incoming shipments from suppliers, carriers, and internal transfers. Verify received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation. Inspect incoming goods for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, and labeling accuracy. Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Purchasing regarding non-conforming or discrepant materials. Ensure incoming materials are properly identified, labeled, and routed to the appropriate storage or inspection locations. Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures. Shipping Operations Prepare outbound shipments accurately and on schedule to support customer and operational requirements. Coordinate shipments with approved carriers and ensure accurate completion of all required shipping, export, customs, and transportation documentation. Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions as operational needs require. SAP & Inventory Transactions Perform timely and accurate goods receipt and goods issue transactions within SAP. Maintain accurate inventory records through proper system transactions and documentation. Process inventory movements, transfers, and material status changes as required. Investigate and resolve shipping and receiving-related inventory discrepancies. Support cycle count activities and inventory audits. Operational Excellence & Compliance Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Remain compliant with all applicable company procedures, GMP requirements, OHSA regulations, ISO standards, and transportation requirements. Identify process or product non-conformances and escalate issues appropriately for resolution. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, material flow, and inventory accuracy. Training & Collaboration Assist with onboarding and training of new warehouse personnel on processes, systems, and best practices. Maintain training compliance through timely completion of required learning modules and procedural training. Collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other internal departments to meet operational priorities and deadlines. Respond promptly to operational communications via email, Teams, and other communication platforms. Education & Experience College diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant logistics/warehouse experience. Minimum 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or materials management operations. Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar). Technical Skills Experience with ERP systems required; SAP strongly preferred. Working knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse management processes. Familiarity with shipping documentation, carrier coordination, and customs/export processes preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse-related systems. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Effective detail and focus related to completion of government-facing documentation. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to changing operational demands. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and material handling. Ability to distinguish colors where required for product/material identification. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pump jack and forklift (training provided as needed). Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as required, including occasional evenings or weekends. The expected compensation for this position is: $48,500 - $90,500 Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
