Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description About Thermo Fisher Scientific As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you'll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world's toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer. Role Description Join our collaborative team as a Senior Data Analyst and contribute to data-based decision making across our organization. You'll apply advanced analytics to transform complex data into actionable insights that enhance business performance and customer experience. Working with diverse teams, you'll develop and maintain comprehensive reporting solutions, automate processes, and implement data governance standards that ensure data quality and reliability. In addition, this role will support the Senior Product Manager as an associate product manager across the broader SPARK portfolio, with direct day-to-day focus on inventory analytics products. The role will translate user and business needs into actionable product work, maintain portfolio and delivery visibility, and coordinate products from discovery through adoption and support. The role will also manage the team's Jira-based user acceptance testing process so releases have clear readiness evidence, coordinated testers, documented outcomes, and traceability to delivery and deployment work. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced analytics, statistical methods, and data modeling to identify opportunities and improve business performance. Develop and maintain scalable reporting, visualization, and decision-support solutions, with particular emphasis on Power BI, SQL, and governed enterprise data. Automate repeatable analysis and reporting processes while defining data-quality controls, documentation, and stewardship expectations. Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for supply-chain, finance, technology, and divisional leaders. Lead cross-functional analysis and improvement initiatives in a matrixed global environment. SPARK Associate Product Management Responsibilities Partner with the Senior Product Manager to manage the larger SPARK product portfolio, including roadmap maintenance, backlog health, dependencies, risks, release visibility, and stakeholder communications. Serve as the day-to-day associate product manager for the delegated inventory analytics product area, converting user needs into discovery questions, product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes. Support prioritization by assembling evidence on user value, business impact, effort, risk, data readiness, adoption, and delivery dependencies; prepare recommendations and tradeoffs for Senior Product Manager decisions. Coordinate inventory analytics needs across target setting, entitlement, forecasting, replenishment, optimization, rebalancing, performance measurement, and benefit attribution. Partner with supply-chain, Finance, divisional, data engineering, business intelligence, data-governance, and support teams to clarify scope, decision rights, sequencing, readiness, and operating support. Maintain product performance measures covering data quality, reliability, adoption, decision-cycle improvement, user experience, inventory outcomes, and realized business value. Guide delegated product work through discovery, planning, delivery, launch, adoption, support, enhancement, and retirement while keeping commitments, assumptions, and status transparent. UAT Process Management Responsibilities Manage the DSCDP UAT queue through its operating flow from Open to Ready to Test and then Pass or Fail, maintaining current status, due-date, assignment, and release visibility. Verify UAT readiness before testing begins, including a testable delivery, defined acceptance criteria, appropriate environment and data, named testers, and traceability to the parent delivery item, fix version, and release or deployment work. Coordinate business and data testers, schedule test windows, communicate expectations, and make sure evidence is captured consistently and is sufficient for the designated acceptance owner to decide the outcome. Record test outcomes, defects, dependencies, and failed conditions; coordinate remediation and retesting through closure without bypassing required quality or release gates. Provide concise UAT and release-readiness reporting, highlighting aging work, blocked tests, missing evidence, failed outcomes, retest needs, and risks to planned releases. Improve the UAT process, templates, queue hygiene, metrics, and stakeholder experience while preserving Jira as the execution system of record. Requirements Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. Preferred fields of study: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Expert proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI. Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Advanced skills in statistical analysis and data modeling, with experience using Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis. Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and present effectively to multiple levels of leadership. Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data quality management, cloud-based analytics platforms, and data warehousing solutions. Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment. Demonstrated experience supporting product-management practices, including discovery, roadmap and backlog management, prioritization, user stories, acceptance criteria, release planning, adoption, and product-performance measurement. Experience with inventory planning or adjacent supply-chain processes, including inventory targets, forecasting, replenishment, optimization, and performance measurement. Experience coordinating UAT, agile delivery, or release-readiness processes in Jira or a comparable work-management platform. Knowledge of process-improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across global business and technical teams. Professional certifications in Power BI, SQL, analytics, supply chain, or product management are advantageous. Up to 25% travel may be required. Operating Boundaries The Senior Product Manager retains accountability for overall SPARK portfolio strategy, final priority and tradeoff decisions, roadmap commitments, and executive escalation. This role supports the larger portfolio and may own a delegated inventory analytics product slice; material changes to portfolio direction, funding, or commitments are escalated to the Senior Product Manager. Designated business and data owners retain final acceptance authority. This role manages UAT readiness, coordination, evidence, defects, retests, and outcome reporting without substituting for those accountable owners. Engineering, technical approvers, and release-governance owners retain responsibility for code quality, deployment approval, production release, and required change-control gates.
