DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Senior Data and DevOps Engineer to build and maintain our data platforms and contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will work with advanced data technologies such as Databricks and contribute to the development of scalable data solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with enterprise-level data platforms, implement innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement across our data infrastructure. You will build, deploy, and maintain data platforms such as Databricks, develop and manage data pipelines, and ensure high availability of services. You will implement CI/CD processes for data workflows and automate data consumption processes to enable efficient data collection and distribution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions while adhering to security and compliance standards. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking to support our organization’s digital transformation initiatives. REQUIREMENTS Advanced degree plus 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management and operations Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, NetApp, VMware) preferred Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware) Expertise in Windows and/or Linux server administration and configuration Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting) Experience with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning Understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to participate in rotational coverage as required Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Strong documentation and process improvement skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, SOX) preferred
