THE ROLE: Join AMD's Supply Chain Operations organization and lead the capacity planning strategy behind some of the world's most advanced AI, Data Center, and High Performance Computing (HPC) products. As a Supply Chain Planning Manager , you will lead strategic capacity planning activities across Wafer Sort, Bump, and Backside Metallization (BSM), ensuring AMD's manufacturing network can support rapid business growth, increasing product complexity, and evolving technology roadmaps. This highly visible leadership role serves as a critical link between Business Units, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and external manufacturing partners. You will work across organizational boundaries to align stakeholders, develop capacity strategies, identify and mitigate supply risks, and drive execution of business-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to influence decisions across multiple functions and organizational levels Strong strategic thinking and business acumen Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term planning Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and negotiation skills Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and driving clarity through data and communication KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & Strategy Develop long-range capacity plans for Bump, Wafer Sort and BSM to support AMD's growing AI and HPC businesses. Drive alignment between business demand, manufacturing capability, and supplier readiness. Influence strategic decisions related to capacity investments, operational priorities, and supply risk mitigation. Cross-Functional Influence Partner with Supply Planning, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Manufacturing organizations to align on business priorities. Build compelling business cases and gain organizational support for capacity strategies and investment proposals. Effectively communicate risks, opportunities, assumptions, and recommended actions to executive leadership. Capacity Planning & Business Operations Lead monthly, quarterly, and long-range capacity planning activities. Support key business planning cycles, including S&OP, AOP, and Long-Range Planning (LRP). Evaluate manufacturing constraints and develop mitigation strategies. Drive supplier engagement and capacity readiness planning. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and technology ramp activities. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Drive automation, analytics, and process optimization initiatives. Improve supply chain visibility, forecasting accuracy, and planning effectiveness. Leverage data analytics to support decision-making and operational performance improvements. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience working in supply chain planning, capacity planning, manufacturing operations, sourcing, procurement, demand planning, business operations, or related functions. Experience developing and executing strategic business plans within a complex operational environment. Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across multiple organizations. Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making capability. Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and driving execution through collaboration. Understanding of forecasting, scenario modeling, capacity management, and business planning processes. Experience working with global manufacturing partners and supplier ecosystems. Semiconductor industry experience is highly desirable. Experience supporting advanced technology, AI, Data Center, HPC, or related technology businesses is a plus. Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, AI tools, or advanced analytics platforms is desirable. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline.
