Job Title Accounting Professional I Key Responsibilities: Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate recording of acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation. Perform monthly reconciliations between the fixed asset subledger and general ledger. Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed assets. Monitor capital expenditure projects and ensure timely capitalization. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project teams to track asset movements. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS) and company policies. Assist in preparing fixed asset reports for management, including depreciation schedules and asset utilization. Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to asset management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance / Commerce. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in fixed assets or general ledger. Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve accounting efficiency, strengthen reconciliations, analyse large data sets, while ensuring appropriate data security and governance. Preferred Skills: Experience with asset tracking tools or barcode systems. Familiarity with lease accounting and asset impairment. Professional certification (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, CPA) is a plus. Strong interest in applying AI, Microsoft Copilot, Python or similar tools to automate manual processes, identify anomalies and drive continuous improvement in finance operations.
