The Position The Kentucky Distribution Center (KDC) Site Head is a vital part of our Supply Chain and Logistics network, which is committed to ensuring the safe, compliant, and uninterrupted delivery of life-changing medicines to patients across the US market. This position is responsible for leading all operational teams in Louisville and serving as the face of Genentech within the local community. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Customer Operations, US Commercial, Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), and global network leadership to drive operational excellence and business continuity. The Opportunity As the KDC Site Head (Sr. Director), you are directly accountable for the safe, cost-effective, and cGMP-compliant operation of our primary US distribution center, driving strategic vision and network alignment while inspiring a high-performing organization through servant leadership, personal transformation, and clear vision to optimize the contributions of all employees. Key responsibilities include: Set the strategic vision and define long-range business strategies for commercial finished goods and site assets, aligning site capabilities with the broader global network. Direct all site operations including staffing, facilities, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, technology, and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) compliance. Serve as the face of Genentech in the Louisville, Kentucky region, driving local community initiatives, government affairs, and media representation. Ensure full compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and Roche Quality standards while meeting operational, financial, and OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) delivery targets. Establish and continuously exercise robust Business Continuity and risk mitigation plans to ensure resilient delivery of medicines representing significant revenue. Act as an active change agent, fostering a culture of trust, agility, continuous improvement, and professional development across direct and non-direct reports. Partner with Customer Operations, Hillsboro distribution leadership, and Commercial stakeholders to streamline delivery processes and maximize customer satisfaction. Who You Are Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business, Engineering, Materials Management, Packaging, Life Sciences, or a related field. Leadership & Industry Experience: Proven track record as a site head in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare distribution space (15+ years of total supply chain/distribution experience preferred, with 10–12+ years of relevant leadership experience, including cold-chain management). Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of cGMP standards, pharmaceutical distribution regulations, warehousing, facilities management, and ERP or integrated inventory management systems. Strategic & Risk Management Acumen: Demonstrated enterprise mindset with experience developing long-range operational strategies, driving business continuity planning, and executing risk mitigation in complex environments. Operational Excellence & Change Leadership: Strong background in driving continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma preferred) and acting as a visible change agent who adapts strategies to evolving network needs. Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional executives, build high-performing diverse teams, and communicate effectively with front-line execution staff. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Kentucky is $153,000 - $284,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
