Corporate & Investment Banking Finance Area About the job: General Ledger and Accounts Payable Accountant, also supporting management control and cost monitoring activities. The position is intended for a junior professional with approximately 2 years of experience in accounting and administration, able to work independently on recurring activities and eager to grow in a dynamic and international environment. Main Responsibilities Supplier onboarding and approval. Review of contractual documentation and the accounts payable cycle. Recording, checking and payment of invoices. Account reconciliations and review of outstanding items. Processing of travel expenses. Support for periodic and year-end closings. Monitoring of actual costs versus budget and variance analysis. Participation in the annual cost budgeting process. Maintenance of VAT and fixed asset registers. Accounts receivable invoicing and related controls. Review and accounting of fees relating to services provided to and received from Head Office, ensuring accuracy, correct accounting allocation and compliance with deadlines. Support with tax compliance and tax payments, as well as preparation of documentation required for reviews, audits and internal controls. What are we looking for? Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or a related field, preferably or equivalent qualifications: Economics and Commerce. Business Administration. Economics and Business Management. Economics, Banking and Insurance. Professional Experience Approximately 2 years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable/accounts receivable, administration or equivalent roles, preferably gained in structured companies, service organizations or international environments. Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, reconciliations, accounting closings and day-to-day interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders is highly valued. Languages Italian: native speaker or C1. English: at least B2. Spanish: knowledge of Spanish is considered an advantage. Technical Skills Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables and data management/analysis) and Word. Knowledge of ERP systems or accounting software is a plus. Solid knowledge of general accounting, double-entry bookkeeping and financial statement principles. Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, account reconciliations and key periodic closing activities. Proactivity, operational autonomy and initiative, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities and environments. The annual fixed salary associated with the position starts at 35.685,46€ gross per annum.
