Job Description Drive the integrity of enterprise financial data and play a critical role in enabling accurate reporting, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making. The SAP Accounting Master Data Senior Consultant serves as a subject matter expert overseeing the governance, maintenance, and optimization of financial master data within SAP. This role combines deep accounting knowledge with strong technical and business acumen to support enterprise-wide financial processes, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will partner across Finance, Technology, and Business Operations to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of key accounting structures and data frameworks. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary subject matter expert for SAP Accounting Master Data, ensuring the integrity and governance of critical financial structures. Manage and maintain financial master data, including General Ledger accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Global Hierarchies, Validation Tables, and other SAP accounting objects. Leverage accounting expertise and business insight to align financial data structures with organizational objectives and evolving business needs. Analyze complex accounting, financial, and system-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Lead and support SAP enhancements, testing efforts, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to drive process improvements and optimize master data management practices. Develop and implement controls, standards, and governance processes that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Translate complex financial and technical concepts into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholder groups. Lead moderately complex projects and initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance operational efficiency across the enterprise. Provide expert guidance and support in resolving accounting system and technology-related issues affecting multiple business areas. What You'll BringStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and enterprise financial systems. Experience managing and governing master data within SAP or similar ERP environments. Proven ability to solve complex problems and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex concepts clearly. Passion for continuous improvement, data quality, and operational excellence. Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, SAP master data, financial reporting, or related disciplines. Experience supporting SAP accounting processes, month-end close activities, testing, and system enhancements. Knowledge of master data governance, internal controls, financial reporting structures, and process optimization.
