Overview This position is responsible for the Abbott Point of Care relationship will all key stakeholders within Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory. The Account Manager has the commercial responsibility of creating and managing a business strategy and plan to meet and exceed the geography’s commercial financial goal, set by the National Sales Manager and General Manager ANZ. This business plan will include specific key account management plans and will draw on the relevant implementation and marketing resources required to achieve this. All implementation of these strategic plans will be managed and orchestrated by the individual.During the sales process the Account Manager will work within the profitability and expense targets to maximise cartridge utilization, capital placement and conversion of new accounts in line with the marketing plan. The Account Manager will also work closely with marketing to target and successfully introduce new products and product extension to key accounts.Post-sale the Account Manager will work closely with the Implementation group to ensure a smooth installation and maximisation of cartridge utilization and capital placement. Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the APOC relationship with all stakeholders in a geography Responsible for achieving sales targets on territory Achieve the minimum standards for sales force excellence as defined by the Division Global team. This includes but is not limited to frequency of customer visits and utilization of SFDC. Manage and document the sales process from territory planning, pre-call planning, in-call effectiveness, and post call evaluation. Actively manage capital and cartridge new business opportunities in SFDC. Maintain suitable knowledge of the relevant healthcare markets and current i-STAT products and product areas. In conjunction with line managers define and communicate strategy and goals to distribution partners in the geography (where relevant). You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend. Manage multiple territories autonomously, while keeping up to date reporting records and goals. Qualifications and experienceMinimum of 2-3 years relevant healthcare sales experience e.g. Medical Products, Medical Devices, IVD’s Disposables. Experience of multi-stakeholder strategic sales. Demonstrated experience of launching new products and seeking new business. Good knowledge of relevant healthcare process and stakeholders Good PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Desirable Training and experience in selling to Emergency Departments The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
