Sr. Digital Product Manager, Product Operations - Tech Enablers & PDLC What you will do The Senior Product Manager, Product Operations - Tech Enablers & PDLC will help define, evaluate, and scale the tools, platforms, AI agents, workflows, and broader Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) infrastructure that enable Amgen teams to practice modern product management. Reporting to the Director, Product Operations, this individual contributor role will serve as a hands-on product operations owner for the technology and workflow enablers that help product management and cross-functional teams define product vision and strategy, understand user needs, prioritize opportunities and outcomes, translate strategy into roadmaps, define requirements, align stakeholders, lead delivery, make trade-offs, measure performance, manage the product lifecycle, ensure usability, quality and trust, and communicate product progress and impact. This role will be responsible for tool evaluation and adoption, product requirements, and enablement for the systems and workflows that support Amgen rolling out the Digital Product Operating Model (DPOM). The short-term focus will be enabling an AI-assisted PDLC, while the longer-term vision is to help Amgen move toward an AI-led PDLC where product teams can use AI and integrated tooling to improve speed, quality, learning, and decision-making across the product lifecycle. The Senior Product Manager, Product Operations - Tech Enablers & PDLC should be a product-minded technologist and operator who is comfortable experimenting, prototyping, testing tools, shaping requirements, and translating technology possibilities into practical product team workflows. Responsibilities Product Tooling and Technology Enablement Own product requirements, evaluation, and adoption support for tools and platforms that enable DPOM and modern product management practices. Evaluate tools, platforms, AI agents, and workflows that support product strategy, discovery, roadmapping, OKRs, prioritization, intake, requirements, stakeholder alignment, delivery, measurement, documentation, and lifecycle management. Partner with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to understand workflow needs, pain points, adoption barriers, and opportunities for technology enablement. Translate product team needs into clear requirements, recommendations, pilots, and adoption plans. AI-Assisted and AI-Led PDLC Help define and enable Amgen’s short-term AI-assisted PDLC and longer-term AI-led PDLC vision. Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, integrated tooling, and reusable workflows to improve product management quality, speed, consistency, and decision-making. Experiment with and evaluate AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows that support product discovery, strategy, roadmap development, requirements definition, stakeholder communication, performance measurement, and lifecycle management. Partner with AI, technology, architecture, data, security, privacy, quality, and governance stakeholders to ensure AI-enabled product workflows are practical, responsible, trusted, and scalable. Product Development Lifecycle Enablement Define and improve the tools, workflows, and practices that support product teams across the Product Development Lifecycle. Help teams connect product strategy, user needs, outcomes, roadmaps, requirements, delivery, measurement, lifecycle management, and communication into a more integrated operating flow. Partner with Product Operations teammates to ensure PDLC workflows align with DPOM standards, playbooks, measurement approaches, and enterprise operating rhythms. Identify friction points in the product lifecycle and recommend practical improvements through tooling, workflow design, automation, or enablement. Adoption, Enablement, and Technical Collaboration Lead adoption support for selected tools, platforms, AI agents, and PDLC workflows, including pilots, onboarding, training, stakeholder alignment, and feedback loops. Partner with Product Operations teammates to ensure tool guidance, workflow instructions, and AI-enabled practices are reflected in DPOM materials and training and to define and track adoption and effectiveness of product tools, AI-enabled workflows, and PDLC improvements. Partner with Product Management Hub, Product Management Catalysts, Agile Enablement, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Technology, AI teams, data and analytics teams, procurement/vendor teams, governance, security, privacy, quality, business functions, and technology leaders. Embedded Product Leadership and Coaching Embed with individual product teams to help improve product management practices and accelerate DPOM adoption. Serve as a hands-on player-coach to Digital Product Managers and cross-functional team members. Coach assigned DPMs on core product management skills, including problem definition, discovery, product strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, OKRs, KPIs, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and value measurement. When no DPM is assigned, temporarily perform product management responsibilities directly, including shaping product direction, aligning stakeholders, defining outcomes, and supporting roadmap and prioritization decisions. Help teams move from stakeholder-request and feature-based delivery toward empowered, outcome-driven product management. DPOM Adoption and Team Enablement Help cross-functional teams understand and apply DPOM practices in the flow of real product work. Partner with business leads, technology leads, product owners, business analysts, design, data and engineering team members, and other stakeholders to strengthen product ways of working. Help teams clarify roles, decision rights, operating rhythms, success measures, and expectations within the Digital Product Operating Model. Identify product management capability gaps, adoption barriers, and recurring anti-patterns within embedded teams. Support teams in building durable product habits that continue after the Catalyst engagement ends. Product Strategy, Outcomes, and Prioritization Help teams understand business context, constraints and material risks while defining the business and user problems they are solving and connecting product work to measurable outcomes. Shape and strengthen development of product vision, strategy, roadmaps, OKRs, KPIs, and value realization plans. Apply independent product judgment to help teams evaluate and make trade-off recommendations based on user needs, business value, feasibility, risk, and enterprise priorities. Support discovery, validation, experience evaluation, and learning practices that help teams make better product decisions.
