This Position reports to: Manager Corporate Social Responsibility Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving sustainability performance in your assigned area of responsibility. Each day, you will support the implementation of the group-wide sustainability strategy and business-specific priorities by applying in-depth knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within your own unit and across ABB. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion business based in Bangalore, India: You will be mainly accountable for:Strategic CSR Planning and Program Development - Ability to conceptualize, design, and implement CSR programs aligned with corporate sustainability priorities, national development goals, and business objectives. Experience in developing multi-year CSR strategies development arenas and thematic interventions in education, healthcare, environment, skilling, livelihood, and community development. Regulatory Compliance and Governance -In-depth knowledge of the CSR provisions under the Companies Act, 2013, Schedule VII requirements, CSR Rules, and related reporting obligations. Experience in conducting due diligence, governance reviews, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance across NGO and implementation partners. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management - Proven ability to engage effectively with NGOs, foundations, government departments, academic institutions, social enterprises, community-based organizations, and internal business stakeholders. Strong relationship management skills for developing and sustaining strategic partnerships. Sustainability and ESG Integration - Strong understanding of ESG principles, environmental sustainability, climate action, circular economy, biodiversity conservation, and social impact frameworks. Ability to integrate CSR initiatives with the organization's broader sustainability goals and ESG roadmap. Data Analytics, Communication and Thought Leadership - Proficiency in data collection, analysis, dashboard development, impact tracking, and preparation of management reports. Strong report-writing skills for Board CSR Committee updates, annual reports, sustainability disclosures, and stakeholder communications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development, proposal evaluation, case study documentation, storytelling, and preparation of communication materials. Ability to represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings. Impact Measurement, Evaluation and Financial Management - Knowledge of impact assessment methodologies, Theory of Change frameworks, Logical Framework Analysis, Social Return on Investment (SROI), and outcome measurement systems. Experience in developing KPIs, monitoring frameworks, baseline studies, and impact reports to measure program effectiveness. Experience in CSR budget planning, grant management, fund utilization monitoring, financial reconciliation, and auditing requirements. Ability to assess financial health and governance practices of implementation partners. Risk Management and Governance - Ability to identify operational, reputational, financial, and compliance risks associated with CSR projects and develop mitigation strategies. Experience in establishing governance mechanisms and monitoring controls for large-scale CSR initiatives. Qualifications for the role Master's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. Additional certifications in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, ESG/Sustainability, Impact Assessment, or CSR Management would be preferred. Strong understanding of the Companies Act, 2013 CSR provisions, ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and social impact measurement methodologies. 5-8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, Community Development, Development Sector Consulting, ESG, or Social Impact Program Management. Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale CSR programs across thematic areas such as education, healthcare, skill development, women's empowerment, environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, waste management, livelihoods, and community infrastructure. Experience in working with NGOs, foundations, government agencies, multilateral organizations, and academic institutions. Proven track record in project design, partner due diligence, grant management, budget oversight, monitoring and evaluation, and impact assessment. Experience in managing CSR compliance, Board CSR Committee reporting, statutory disclosures, and annual CSR reporting requirements. Strong experience in developing partnerships, negotiating project agreements, managing stakeholders, and driving cross-functional collaboration. Exposure to ESG and sustainability initiatives, including integration of social impact programs with broader sustainability objectives, would be an advantage. Experience in using data analytics, reporting tools, and impact measurement frameworks to assess program effectiveness and communicate outcomes to senior leadership. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations in a complex corporate environment.
