Position Overview As an Integration Engineer at Sandvik Coromant, you design and build integration solutions that connect systems, domains, and data across the business. You work across the full lifecycle - from solution design to coding to deployment - and are equally comfortable writing code and configuring low-code/event-driven flows. You turn architectural guidance into reusable, scalable integration assets, with a holistic mindset that balances speed of delivery with long-term maintainability. Key Responsibilities Design & Build: Develop integration assets using Azure API Management, Azure Container Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid, combining code-first development with low-code/event-driven patterns as the landscape evolves. Architecture Evolution: Transition legacy or heavy code-first flows into efficient, event-driven, and low-code integration patterns where appropriate. Event-Driven Architecture: Build and maintain event publishers/subscribers and streaming integrations (Event Hub, event-driven microservices), following defined architectural standards. Standards & Reuse: Implement APIs, integration flows, and microservices aligned to architectural guardrails, promote reuse through documentation and pattern-sharing. CI/CD & IaC: Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure via Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep). Observability & Security: Implement robust logging, tracing (OpenTelemetry), monitoring, and identity management (OAuth2, Azure AD, key vaults, API security). Engineering Quality: Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, third-level support, and technical documentation to ensure asset reusability. Collaboration: Work closely with architects and cross-functional engineering teams to translate architecture into working solutions. Technical Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 4–7 years in integration, software, or platform engineering. Azure Integration Stack: Hands-on expertise with Azure APIM, Azure Service Bus, Container Apps, and Logic Apps (Standard/Consumption). Event-Driven Architecture: Working experience with Azure Event Hubs, Event Grid, or similar messaging/event streaming platforms. Code-First Development: Strong proficiency in C# (.NET Core), Python, Node.js, or Java. DevOps & IaC: Practical experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code. Data Protocols: Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON/XML, webhook patterns, and pub/sub mechanics. Comfortable moving between code-first development and low-code configuration as needed. Soft Skills & Mindset Wholistic Engineering Mindset: Ability to see beyond individual pipelines and understand how end-to-end data flows impact the wider business. Problem Solving: Pragmatic approach to choosing between code-first custom development and low-code speed. Collaboration: Strong communication skills to partner with cross-functional domain teams and enterprise architects. Ownership mindset with focus on reliability, quality, and reusability. Adaptable: willing to pick up new integration paradigms (event-driven, low-code) as the platform evolves. This position reports to: Integration CoE Manager .
