Global Sourcing Manager - Growth Tech Our Global Procurement Office is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager within our Indirects Category team in Zug, Switzerland. The role is responsible for supporting delivery of company targets on cost and cash flow while leading strategic category management to ensure that supply security, quality, reputation, ESG, and innovation priorities are fulfilled. Total spend under management exceeds USD $500mio annually with procurement coverage of key business and professional services categories globally. The scope includes direct negotiation responsibilities for priority global contracts as well as ownership of key cost packages, budgeting processes, spending policies and benchmarking / analytics development. This role reports to the Global Category Director BST, and will have frequent exposure to senior leadership (directors, VPs, and chiefs) across various business functions and geographies. While the role does not have direct reports, it requires high maturity in leadership to coordinate efforts, collaborative long-term projects, global sourcing exercises, benchmarking, and target delivery through the network of buyers in our 6 geographic zones, plus assigned analysts and operational specialists located around the world. Here’s what you would be doingSupport delivery of company targets on cost (SG&A cost management via price and consumption) and cash flow (payment terms optimization) Develop category and sourcing strategy for key services categories in scope, including use of ABI’s 8-Step Sourcing methodology Execute sourcing and contract negotiation for global-owned supplier contracts Supplier relationship management (SRM) and new supplier development / portfolio management, covering suppliers that range from local start-ups to global Fortune 500 companies Own ZBB policies and budget processes for key cost packages Serve senior global stakeholders (directors, VPs, chiefs), balancing cost, quality, and timing, to deliver negotiations and contracts across various functions Leverage data and analytics to develop internal and external benchmarks to identify opportunities Develop agenda, content, and process for our annual Champions workshop routine, involving all Zones (best practices sharing event that generates savings initiatives to be embedded in budget) Bring innovation, ESG, and other disruptive ideas to procurement categories in scope, and test new initiatives via real-world pilots for potential scale-up and global replication Coaching and mentoring buyers and managers in our Region Procurement Office teams and back-office support teams You have these key skills, knowledge, and attributesYou have a university degree and/or a complementary advanced level degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, economics, supply chain, operations, etc.) You have around 4-8 years of professional experience, likely with a focus in procurement roles (category management, strategic sourcing, negotiations), other relevant supply chain management roles, or strategy/management consulting You have an interest to learn about the world of indirect procurement categories, especially business & professional services areas, including facilities management, vehicles fleet, real estate, utilities, and others, to uncover new approaches to sourcing, benchmarking, supplier discovery, cost management, specification definition, budget control, and disruptive innovations/sustainability initiatives You are highly comfortable with data and quantitative analysis, including intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities, and you are adept at turning data into insights and communicating to leadership with strong visualizations, compelling business cases, and clear recommendations You have a professional standard of English; other languages would be an asset You are a fast learner, rapidly absorbing new concepts and diving deep into new business areas to quickly gain understanding of different industries, business models, and suppliers You demonstrate the 80/20 rule and have a bias for action, finding ways to move forward and prioritize You are great at building cross-functional relationships and credibility with business leaders, your teams, external stakeholders, and peers You communicate and engage across your stakeholders delivering impactful messages, negotiating with complex variables, and influencing outcomes You embrace change and thrive working with a high level of independence in a continuously evolving environment You can creatively solve business problems pragmatically and at speed – assimilating issues and turning ideas into clear requirements, generating coordinated solutions based on your own experience and insights You are an owner.
