This position reports to: Procurement Manager __ The work model for the role is: Hybrid / #LI-Hybrid Key responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for customs compliance, export logistics, and project logistics execution within Process Industries. You will ensure that international project deliveries are executed in line with ABB policies, legal requirements, and customer commitments. This role is contributing to the Automation Business Area / Division Process Industries in Cottbus. You will report to the Head of Procurement & Logistics and work closely with Project Managers, Project SCMs, Engineering, Sales, Logistics Providers and ABB Trade Compliance organizations. You will be mainly accountable for: Develop and execute project-specific logistics, transportation and packaging concepts for international customer projects. Serve as the main logistics interface between customers, project teams, suppliers and logistics service providers to ensure efficient and compliant project execution. Drive continuous improvement of logistics, transportation and sourcing processes while supporting supplier qualification and logistics provider management. Act as local Customs Officer and ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements and ABB Global Trade Compliance policies. Coordinate export and import processes including customs documentation, certificates of origin, supplier declarations, Incoterms and customs classifications. Qualifications for the role Minimum completed commercial vocational training combined with relevant professional experience; additional certification as a Customs Officer is a plus Several years of professional experience in project logistics and/or customs/export control, ideally in an international, project-driven industrial environment Prior experience in customs is an advantage; if not yet acquired, willingness to build this expertise on the job, as customs responsibilities form part of the role Proven experience working in an international project environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to act as an interface between Project Managers, Engineering, Sales, suppliers and logistics providers A proactive, well-organized, and self-driven way of working Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken Benefits Retirement plan Flexible work practices Employee Share Acquisition Plan Corporate Bicycle Leasing Employee Referral Program More about us The Procurement & Logistics team supports large-scale international projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
