The PositionJob description As a Technical Consultant, you will bridge the gap between business and IT, translating complex needs into SAP functional specifications and technical roadmaps. Working within a defined business strategy, you will specialize in the interpretation and consistent application of global cost controlling/ management accounting requirements within the S/4HANA environment. Leveraging your SAP FICO expertise, you will execute critical initiatives focused on how accounting data is captured, stored, and securely transferred to local authorities or external systems. You will ensure global system stability and compliance by delivering high-quality Features and User Stories within the SAFe methodology, using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Solman Description of the area This role focuses on the governance and optimization of global cost controlling/management accounting within the SAP ecosystem. A central pillar of this area is the management of the Finance and Controlling, Cost Allocation and Period End Closing and ensuring data integrity across the S/4HANA landscape. Our mission is to provide a robust framework for capturing and storing accounting data, facilitating its secure and consistent transfer to external systems and regulatory bodies, while proactively seeking innovative solutions for long-term scalability Job Responsibilities Scope / (Content Leadership) Consults teams and squads on diverse offerings. This involves shaping strategy for complex products, influencing approaches, and managing prioritization and status reporting across the enterprise. Maintain deep knowledge of the SAP FI CO (Cost Center Accounting; Profit Center Accounting; Project System; Profitability Analysis; CATS and Service Management) inclusive driving the integration and interfaces with other landscapes. Accountability/Problem Solving Drives innovative solutions for complex challenges, influencing strategy and contributing to organizational growth. Makes impactful decisions, resolves unprecedented problems, and fosters convergence while utilizing frameworks to align priorities across consulting teams and squads. Aligned with industry best practices and organizational requirements, for new features, enhancements, and deployments for the effective and efficient in Cost Controlling & Management Accounting. Drive Global template implementations, localization of processes and compliance as per Financial needs to ensure the ICFR and any compliances are met. Stakeholder Management Manages high-level relationships with and engages senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations. Communicates complex and strategic information, issues, and solutions across the enterprise or multiple large business portfolios, tailoring messaging and mastering communication channels. Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed requirements for the implementations and roll outs to the affiliates. Impact/Strategy This role drives strategy application, shapes product roadmaps, and influences domain-level strategy. This individual provides consistent leadership and significant impact on complex products, mastering coaching to develop others, and enabling great participation within consulting teams and squads. Complexity/ (Product Size) Works on high-impact, multi-faceted projects and provides highly innovative solutions for unusually complex problems. Leads extremely complex projects with enterprise-wide implications, anticipating changing business needs, and recommending strategic directions to management. Business/Technical ability Demonstrate high autonomy in task organization, independently creating system configurations and managing enhancements related to data reporting and storage. Qualifications Education / Experience 10+ years experience in in designing and implementing solutions in SAP FICO-Cost Controlling & Management Accounting (CCA/PCA/PS/CO-PA) Proven track record of at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations (Go-live experience). Experience working within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology is highly preferred. Strong ability to work independently and manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Finance and Cost Controlling processes Proven experience integrating of SAP FICO - with other relevant enterprise applications (middleware & interfaces: APIs, Blackline / Smartclose/ SAC/ MyCo) and FIORI high-level relationships and communicate complex strategic information to senior leadership Proven track record of shaping domain-level strategies and influencing high-impact decisions with enterprise-wide implications Extensive experience in implementing cutting-edge, value-adding technologies and technology uptake roadmaps Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage expectations and align diverse groups (scientists, engineers, executives) towards a common goal. Technical Skills Deep knowledge of SAP Finance & Controlling Expertise in data architecture, including how accounting data is captured, stored, and integrated with external systems Technical: Deep knowledge of SAP FI modules and middleware integration (e.g., Mulesoft, IDocs, PI/PO). Ability to translate high-level business and scientific goals into a concrete vision and technology roadmaps, such as using Smartclose and Blackline Cloud technologies Excellent understanding of the product discovery and development lifecycle. Familiarity with GxP, FAIR data principles, and data privacy regulations (GDPR). Understanding of modern software architecture (e.g., microservices, APIs, cloud platforms). Familiarity with data science and AI/ML concepts is required. Additional Qualifications Mastery in coaching and developing others to enable high participation and performance within teams Understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
