A Day in the LifeThe Acute Care and Monitoring Operating Unit develops technologies that support patient monitoring and care delivery across healthcare settings. This role partners closely with Information Technology, cybersecurity, engineering, and external government stakeholders to support cybersecurity compliance activities for systems hosted within Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) environments. This is an onsite role based at our Mounds View, Minnesota campus. This role is responsible for supporting cybersecurity compliance, risk management, vulnerability management, and security documentation activities for systems operating within Department of Veterans Affairs environments. The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst works across technical and business teams to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements, manage security controls, coordinate assessments, and support regulatory compliance initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Maintain compliance activities required to support and sustain Authority to Operate (ATO) authorization for applicable information systems. Assess, document, and monitor security controls in alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 requirements. Coordinate vulnerability assessments and security scans, track findings, and support remediation efforts with cross-functional stakeholders. Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), including tracking, reporting, and validation of corrective actions. Maintain cybersecurity documentation and evidence required for audits, assessments, and ongoing compliance reviews. Serve as the primary liaison between Medtronic teams and Department of Veterans Affairs security personnel regarding cybersecurity requirements and compliance activities. Maintain compliance records, supporting evidence, and security artifacts within governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms, including ServiceNow. Communicate cybersecurity risks, compliance status, and remediation progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, information technology audit, compliance, or risk management. Experience managing cybersecurity controls, vulnerability management activities, security documentation, and compliance requirements within regulated environments. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53. Experience analyzing security findings, tracking remediation activities, and managing compliance deliverables across multiple stakeholders. Experience communicating technical cybersecurity requirements, risks, and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related technical discipline, Professional cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or CompTIA Security+. Experience supporting federal government agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. Experience with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) requirements and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms such as ServiceNow. Experience performing application security assessments, vulnerability validation, dynamic application security testing (DAST), static application security testing (SAST), dependency scanning, or related security testing activities. Active Department of Veterans Affairs security clearance. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. PR) locations (USD):$105,600.00 - $158,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
