Job Description: Microchip Capacitive touch products include turnkey capacitive touch controllers, touch libraries for implementing touch sensing on most PIC®, AVR® and SAM microcontrollers (MCUs) and single-chip solutions for adding gesture recognition to almost any product. We offer solutions for every type of use case, from single buttons to touchpads and touchscreens to proximity detection and 3D gesture control for a huge assortment of consumer, industrial and automotive applications. Our team is involved in Firmware, Software & hardware development. Key Responsibilities Design and review electronic schematics using industry-standard EDA tools. Support PCB design activities including component placement, routing review, and manufacturing file verification. Identify electronic components based on design requirements, availability, lifecycle, and cost. Coordinate with procurement/vendors for component sourcing, quotations, and alternate part selection. Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials), design documentation, and engineering change records. Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams during product development. Perform hardware debugging, testing, and validation of prototype boards. Ensure designs comply with quality, reliability, and manufacturing standards. Support prototype assembly, bring-up, and issue resolution. Interact with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for technical clarifications. Ready to work in Firmware Validation activities Requirements/Qualifications: Required Skills Good understanding of analog and digital electronics. Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, Eagle, or similar. Knowledge of multilayer PCB concepts, EMI/EMC basics, and PCB manufacturing processes. Familiarity with electronic components, datasheets, and component selection criteria. Experience in BOM preparation and component procurement coordination. Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. Understanding of IPC standards and design-for-manufacturing concepts is an advantage. Good communication and documentation skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering. 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in hardware design and PCB development. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with embedded hardware systems or microcontroller-based designs. Exposure to vendor management and supply chain coordination. Knowledge of PCB assembly and testing processes.
