Job Description SummaryFinance Controller-French Speaking Africa ("FSA") will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis in FSA Countries Job DescriptionAccounting & Financial Reporting Ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly US GAAP reporting Oversee statutory filings and local audits across French Speaking Africa, partnering with External Auditors, contractors and the GEHC Center of Excellence (“COE”) teams Perform Balance Sheet analysis and ensure account integrity and effectiveness of business processes Ensure compliance with local laws, government regulations, filing requirements and GEHC policies Drive consistent and effective application of GEHC GAP, policies and close-related procedures including account reconciliations audits, GEHC Data Request (DR) submissions, representation letters and adjusting entries during monthly/quarterly close Lead implementation of consistent policies and procedures for monthly and quarterly close activities, including account reconciliations, audits, GEHC Data Request submissions, representation letters, and adjusting entries Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, collaborating with COE teams to resolve unreconciled items promptly Monitor and address process defects and/or inefficiencies within internal and external COEs to support accurate and timely financial reporting Internal Controls & Governance Ensure robust internal controls aligned with US GAAP, GEHC GAP, and local regulations Oversee Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and SOCCS compliance Manage legal entity governance Collaborate with Treasury team to ensure compliance with capital structure (where applicable) and adequate liquidity requirements. Collaborate with Tax Team on CIT/VAT/WHT filings, supporting tax audits, Ensure tax audit readiness and archiving compliance Simplification & Transformation Lead simplification, integration, and transformation initiatives across LATAM Drive Lean projects to reduce complexity and enhance value-added activities Lead and oversee special projects focused on internal controls and financial reporting, as well as initiatives supporting business growth, in collaboration with P&L and Functional Finance Leaders Required Qualifications Experience in accounting or finance External Auditing Firm graduate Fluent in French and English.
