Position Title: Leave and Accommodations Specialist Location: San Diego, CA Shift: 1st Shift Summary of Objective: ​​The Leave & Accommodations Partner, in partnership with the Leave and Accommodations team, is responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of the PCI’s leave of absence and accommodation programs. This role supports employees across the United States and, as applicable, international locations, ensuring compliance with state and country-specific leave, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work requirements. Primary responsibilities will include communicating and supporting employee leaves of absence for all forms of Leaves of Absence and Accommodations in partnership with PCI’s leave and disability vendor. In addition, this position will be a member of the global HR Connect team and will, as appropriate, support global leave inquiries, benefits open enrollment, and system (Workday/ServiceNow) improvements. ​ Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but other duties may be assigned. Responsible for supporting PCI's leave and disability vendors with inquiries, processing FMLA and other leaves of absence in Workday, monitoring leave cases, and ensuring effective communication between the company, employee, site HR, supervisor, and external partners. Ensure written documentation is complete and accurate, including return-to-work status, restrictions, and accommodation requirements. In collaboration with the benefits team, develop a harmonized approach to the leave of absence program, including tracking systems, communications, dashboards, and enhanced employee experience. Support the administration of leave and accommodation programs for employees outside of the United States, partnering with regional HR teams, external providers, and business leaders to ensure compliance with country-specific legislation, policies, and practices. ​​Maintains employee confidence by keeping health, benefit, and payroll information confidential. ​ ​​Facilitate requests for accommodation and maintain compliance with applicable disability and accommodation laws, including conducting the interactive process and coordinating with local HR partners to address country-specific requirements. ​ Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration of leave-related benefits, pay impacts, documentation requirements, and compliance obligations globally. Identify opportunities to standardize and improve global leave and accommodation processes, leveraging Workday, ServiceNow, and other technologies to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Provide back-up support to the other members of the Leaves & Accommodations team. Assist with Social Responsibility and employee wellness, etc. This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position. Required education and experience: ​​Associate's Degree in a related field ​ ​​Employee aptitude assessment not required for role.​ ​​1-3 years experience​ Experience managing leave and accommodation cases with a strong working knowledge of all state specific leave requirements including California leave laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. ​​Basic Mathematical Skills​ ​​Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs. ​ ​​Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs. ​ ​​Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations. ​ ​​High Standard of Report Writing​ Preferred education and experience: ​​Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.​ ​​Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. ​ ​​Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. ​ ​​Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires. ​ The base salary hiring range for this position is $70,304.00 - $75,928.50 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
