Job description The Logistics Engineer coordinates warehouse related issues as soon as they are discovered on the shopfloor with regard to structure, processes and procedures. You prevent disturbances from reoccurring and proactively manage logistical processes with internal and external stakeholders that lead to customer dissatisfaction and monetary loss. It is important to balance day-to-day production output and maintain a quality point of view. To minimize repetitive issues, it is important to quickly recognize structural hick-ups and escalate to relevant parties. These might be other disciplines in production and supporting sections such as supply chain, D&E and production engineering. You combine a proactive, hands-on mindset with your Logistics expertise. You take ownership of issues or disturbances by containing their impact, identifying root causes, and ensuring they do not reoccur, either by resolving them yourself or by escalating them to the appropriate support level. In addition, you analyses and visualize performance trends and are responsible for maintaining documentation and master data. Over time, you will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise within these areas of responsibility and contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics operations and have the main focus on improving processes and solve & prevent. Your responsibilities include Drive solve & prevent and reduce number of disturbances at Logistics Operations (including Tier1 performance meetings and data prep) Analyse disturbance data, DNs (Disturbance Notifications) and C4Cs (Cloud4Customer), and identify root cause and take initiative in driving structural solutions Lead and/or participate in process flow related improvement projects You are a packaging and cleanliness expert. You maintain documentation and master data on the following topics:Packaging instructions (ZPACK) Packaging strategies (including alternative packaging) Contamination/Cleanliness (Cleaning Codes) Re-Use indicator SAP routings H&T interface New Product IntroductionsDevelop & standardize new tools for logistical processes in collaboration with D&E Ensure that the right tooling, processes and work instructions are available for the operations, for new products developed by D&E You work together with our NPI Engineer(s) to ensure logistical requirements are properly taken into account during design phase of new products Being an active counterpart for our third line of support (E.g. D&E) Monitor, identify, and visualise improvement potential in operational processes, based on issue descriptions of individual DN and C4C incidents. Stakeholder management is important. Organize structural incident follow-up by facilitating and chairing RCA meetings for DNs and C4Cs, like DRB (Disturbance Review Board) You have an active role in knowledge sharing and process standardization within the Disturbance Management department Background and Experience Higher (Technical) Educational Level or equivalent working/thinking level Minimum of 3 years of ASML or relevant work experience (Engineering or Support role) Experience within Logistics Operations and/or direct stakeholders is an advantage Personal skills Analytical skills and willing to deep dive into the real cause Has problem solving capabilities and can summarize issues to the core message Continuous Improvement mindset, pro-active and open to change Strong individual contributor that can work independently Team player with good social skills High sense of responsibility and devotion Adequate English language skills in speech and writing Affinity with data (analytics and visualization), operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters, work preparation and indicators. Knowledge of SAP Other information Full-time position in Dayshift You will part of the GMF MS LO BS Disturbance Management Day team, and report to the corresponding Team Lead. As this role is a new position in a changing environment, your responsibilities are NOT fixed and therefore not limited to that what is described. Responsibilities can develop over time based on business needs.
