The Senior Leave of Absence & Accommodations Specialist supports the administration of employee leaves of absence such as FMLA, ADA, PWFA, state, and local regulations. and owns the end-to-end administration of workplace accommodation cases across the enterprise, applying advanced judgment to navigate complex, high-risk, and legally sensitive situations. This role will work directly with associates, managers, HR stakeholders, the Labor & Employee Relations Center of Excellence (“LER COE”), Legal and other functions to ensure consistent, compliant outcomes in accordance with internal policy and applicable law. This position reports to the Manager, Leaves of Absence & Accommodations and is part of the HR Service Delivery Team. The role will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Own and manage the full life cycle of Leave of Absence cases under FMLA, comparable state laws (e.g., California Family Rights Act, Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave), and company leaves such as Short- and Long-Term Disability, in consultation with Total Rewards (Benefits) and the Company’s third-party leave administrator.​ Own the end-to-end administration of workplace accommodation cases under the ADA, PWFA, similar laws, and religious accommodations, including complex, high-risk, and legally sensitive matters, in consultation with the LER COE and L&E Legal. Lead the interactive accommodations process with associates, people leaders, healthcare providers, and HR—reviewing documentation, identifying reasonable accommodations, and recommending timely determinations.​ Develop creative, reasonable accommodation solutions that balance the associate’s restrictions with business and operational impact, ensuring a high-quality, compassionate employee experience.​ Influence people leaders and HR stakeholders toward compliant, consistent decisions, translating policies and legal requirements into plain-English guidance.​ The essential requirements of the job include Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.​ 5+ years in leave of absence administration, accommodations, or HR generalist work with a strong leave/ADA focus.​ In-depth, demonstrable knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, state/local leave laws, and disability programs.​ Substantial experience engaging in the accommodations interactive process with a wide range of stakeholders. Proven ability to independently analyze and resolve complex, ambiguous, high-risk cases with sound judgment and influence business decisions.​ Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role Ability to travel 10% Physical Demands: Include considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, monitor); May occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping; May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs.; Physical activity associated with business travel. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience administering leave of absence and accommodation across multiple states​, Canada and Puerto Rico. The annual salary range for this role is $93,000 - $135, 000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
