Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our Product Complaints Investigations area at our Yokneam site. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting software‑related product complaint investigations, analyzing trends, and driving quality and compliance improvements. Working closely with cross‑functional teams—including R&D, Software Engineering, QA, Compliance, Service, and Complaints—you will ensure that customer complaints are thoroughly investigated, documented, escalated when required, and resolved in accordance with applicable regulatory standards and company procedures. What You’ll Do Conduct software‑related product complaint investigations in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Review, assess, and analyze complaint information to determine potential quality, safety, or compliance impact. Request and evaluate additional data (logs, configurations, test evidence, code analysis) as needed to complete investigations. Facilitate and support root cause analysis for software defects and customer complaints. Identify and escalate complaints with potential safety or regulatory implications. Document investigation results, root cause conclusions, and recommended corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Analyze complaint trends and provide actionable insights to relevant stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of complaint handling and investigation processes. Ensure complaint investigations are performed in compliance with external and internal quality system requirements. Prepare and support internal and external audits related to complaint handling. Communicate findings, risks, and improvement opportunities to management and involved teams. Perform additional quality‑related tasks as assigned. Education & Experience BA degree or Practical Engineering diploma required (BSc – advantage). Experience in a medical device environment. Experience in software quality, software testing, or software‑related investigations – advantage. Prior experience with product complaints, defect management, or post‑market activities – advantage. Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of software lifecycle and quality principles. Familiarity with complaint handling and investigation processes. Working knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 (or ability to learn quickly). Experience with defect tracking and requirements management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps / VSTS, Polarion). High‑level English proficiency (written and verbal). Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal and cross‑functional communication skills. High integrity, ownership, and attention to detail. Self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. Location & Travel Primary location: Yokneam site Travel: May be required based on business needs About the Role This position is part of the Software Quality / Complaints function within the Quality Assurance organization. You will play a key role in ensuring that software‑related customer complaints are properly investigated, risks are identified and addressed, and lessons learned are fed back into product and process improvements—supporting patient safety and product quality.
