Work Flexibility: Not available Your Mission Join Stryker’s Sports Medicine Research & Development team in Freiburg and contribute to innovative patient-specific solutions that support clinical decision-making in minimally invasive joint surgery. Through your master’s thesis, you will conduct research on image-based technologies, investigate innovative analysis methods, and help advance future medical device solutions. What You'll Do Conduct independent research within the field of Sports Medicine and medical technology. Work with three-dimensional models and medical image data. Investigate and implement innovative analysis methods. Evaluate study results using statistical data analysis and compare findings with scientific literature. Support the advancement of image-based enabling technologies. Develop and automate analysis workflows using scripting tools. Contribute research findings that support future product development activities. What You'll Bring Academic Pursuit: You are currently pursuing a biomedical engineering or a related engineering degree and are actively seeking a master’s thesis project for a 6-month duration. Technical Drive: Your passion lies in expanding your technical expertise, particularly in areas such as 3D image analysis, segmentation, scripting/programming, and data/statistical analysis. Software Savvy: You eagerly apply your proficiency in software applications (e.g. 3-Matic Medical) and scripting applications (e.g. Python) to obtain results. Clinical Insight: Ideally, you possess a solid grasp of clinical concepts and have prior research experience, enabling you to work independently. Effective Communication: Your strong spoken and written English skills (minimum B2) empower you to confidently engage in our international environment and successfully complete your master’s thesis in scientific English.
