At Air Liquide, our Global Business Services (GBS) is the engine room transforming how a global giant operates. The Senior Manager, General Ledger will lead the regional General Ledger (GL) function within the Record-to-Report (RTR) organization across the APAC region excluding China. You will drive a unified governance structure, optimize financial consolidation, safeguard balance sheet integrity, and accelerate digital transformation through automation and continuous improvement. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? 1. GL Operations & Financial Governance Consolidation & Closing: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end GL closing processes for APAC affiliates (excluding China), ensuring accurate, timely multi-currency consolidations and management reporting. Balance Sheet Integrity: Oversee balance sheet review mechanisms, enforcing high-quality reconciliations, risk identification, and timely remediation of reconciling items. SLA & Compliance: Accountable for GL operational SLAs across supported affiliates; monitor accounting controls to ensure compliance with corporate policy and local APAC statutory requirements. 2. Digital Transformation & Continuous Improvement Process Standardization: Drive harmonization of GL workflows across diverse APAC markets, eliminating localized redundancies. Technology Enablement: Leverage Oracle ERP capabilities and tools to accelerate closing cycles and improve financial accuracy. Lean Execution: Foster a continuous improvement culture using Lean Six Sigma principles, partnering with CI leaders to optimize processes and minimize manual effort. 3. Stakeholder Management & Value Addition Stakeholder Trust: Build strong partnerships with regional affiliates, aligning GL service delivery with broader corporate strategy and high service standards. Performance Reporting: Define, track, and elevate critical GL KPIs and SLAs, transitioning the function toward predictive analytics and value-add reporting. 4. People Leadership & Capacity Management Team Development: Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of GL accountants and managers, setting clear objectives and driving a performance-focused culture. Resource Planning: Partner with HR on workforce forecasting, capacity management, cross-training, and succession planning within the GL workstream. Are you a MATCH? Experience: 10+ years of total Finance & Accounting experience (min. 5 years in GL/RTR process management, 5+ years managing direct reports). Shared Services / GBS experience required. Technical Systems: Strong hands-on proficiency in Oracle ERP; experience with financial close tools and RPA solutions strongly preferred. Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with APAC accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting frameworks. Transition / migration experience is a strong plus. Methodology: Proven track record in GL process optimization, workflow design, and continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma / Yellow Belt execution). Soft Skills: Fluent written and spoken English; strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and change leadership abilities.
