Job Description: In order to support our team Customs, Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a Customs Manager (d/f/m) In this role, you will support the strategic alignment of our customs processes and systems, ensuring the seamless flow of our internal and external international supply chain as we pioneer the future of sustainable aerospace. Join our Customs team to navigate the complexities of global trade and play a key role in optimizing our customs landscape to drive operational excellence. Your location You will be working at the largest German production site for commercial aircrafts situated in Hamburg (the position can also be based in Bremen or Augsburg). Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities Customs Strategy & Compliance: Ensure compliant customs processes and serve as the primary customs contact for Airbus Aerostructures GmbH. Coordinate customs activities across all Airbus Aerostructures GmbH locations, maintaining alignment with customs authorities. Coordinate the company internal interdependencies and foster the customs network. Perform internal customs audits, manage quarterly accounting, and lead negotiations regarding customs permits and processes. Initiate customs projects for cost optimization and manage risks and opportunities in coordination with Risk Management. Customs Systems & Data Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of the customs system (SAP-GTS) at Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, including managing system changes and user testing. Generate and report customs statistics and KPIs for Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, Airbus, and customs authorities. Operational Control & Advisory: Control operational customs areas, manage external customs agents, and ensure contractual compliance. Conduct training for staff on customs regulations and provide guidance to departments such as Purchasing and Logistics. Your ProfileEducation: Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Commercial Apprenticeship with additional relevant qualification. Experience: Several years of relevant professional experience in customs and foreign trade. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (ideally the GTS module) and Google G-Suite. Languages: Professional proficiency in English (minimum C1 level) and native or bilingual proficiency in German (C2 level). Soft Skills: Strong communication, conflict-management, and teamwork skills, with an autonomous and reliable work style.
