AbbVie is seeking an experienced QC Supervisor to lead a team of laboratory analysts within our Quality Control function in Sligo. This role is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, stability studies, and contract testing activities are completed to the highest quality standards, on schedule, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. As QC Supervisor, you will provide leadership and coaching to a team of 2-12 analysts, driving laboratory performance, data integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, support investigations, ensure equipment and systems compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of QC analysts to drive performance and quality excellence. Ensure compliance with GMP, Data Integrity, HPRA/FDA, and internal quality requirements. Oversee laboratory testing activities and ensure adherence to testing schedules. Drive continuous improvement, Right First Time (RFT), and operational excellence initiatives. Lead analytical investigations, OOS/OOT events, root cause analysis, and CAPA activities. Support laboratory inspections, audits, product transfers, and project work. Maintain laboratory documentation, procedures, training records, and equipment compliance. Act as a subject matter expert for analytical testing and laboratory operations. Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Minimum 4 years' analytical laboratory experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong hands-on expertise in analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, LCMS, GCMS, titration, and identification methods. Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and data integrity principles. Previous leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or team coaching experience. Experience supporting product or method transfers is an advantage.
