The Attach & Train Programme is a structured talent development programme designed to build skilled talent for Singapore’s advanced biomedical manufacturing sector through practical, industry-based training that develops the technical skills and capabilities needed to support the industry’s current and future workforce needs. As a Pharmaceutical Technologist, your development will take place through a 15-month structured on-the-job training programme within our API Manufacturing team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the production of high-quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) under rigorous quality and compliance standards, helping to ensure a safe and reliable supply of medicines to patients. Due to the nature of the programme and its eligibility requirements, applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. What You’ll Do Operational and Technical Execute batch manufacturing instructions with flawless adherence to established procedures and process-critical steps. Independently perform key API processing unit operations (e.g., charging, vessel transfer, filtration, drying, pack-off) with minimal supervision. Verify batch recipes and manufacturing documentation, provide input on DCS recipe design, and support digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives to drive manufacturing excellence. Safety Maintain a safe working environment in line with EHS policies, participate in the site Emergency Response Team, and contribute to safety risk assessments and process hazard analyses. Quality Ensure timely resolution of batch documentation errors and complete all records per GMP/GDP standards, keeping the plant audit-ready at all times. Communicate issues promptly to stakeholders and fulfill ongoing training requirements. Schedule Deliver assigned tasks on time, proactively managing complexities to prevent delays, and escalate scheduling risks promptly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. What You’ll Learn The opportunity to grow with AbbVie's only manufacturing site in Asia, located in Singapore, gaining exposure to cGMP manufacturing within Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) operations. Hands-on technical proficiency in key API unit operations — including solid and liquid charging, vessel transfer, filtration, drying and pack-off — while operating DeltaV and POMS/MES systems. Develop a strong foundation in batch documentation, quality/safety compliance (GMP/GDP, PHA) and continuous improvement. Bacherlor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent technical related degree. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Exposure to DeltaV distributed control systems and MES through internships, projects or prior experience would be an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Able to work comfortably in 12-hour rotating shift (Day/Night). AbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives and serving our community. Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
