As part of Stryker’s Research & Development team, you will contribute to projects that combine medical imaging, software development, and surgical navigation technologies. You'll gain hands-on experience working with advanced technologies, develop practical engineering skills, and collaborate with experts from different disciplines. This Medical Engineering Internship offers meaningful project ownership, exposure to innovation in a global MedTech company, and the opportunity to contribute to technologies that help improve patient care worldwide. What You'll DoDevelop prototype solutions for innovative applications in surgical navigation and medical imaging Support proof-of-concept projects for next-generation navigation technologies Implement and test software solutions using C++, Python, and MATLAB Evaluate technologies and concepts within advanced medical imaging and navigation ecosystems Collaborate with an international Research & Development team to bring innovative ideas to life What You'll BringCurrently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with C++ Initial experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages Familiarity with OpenCV, VTK, Qt, DCMTK, or comparable software libraries is a plus Good English language skills (minimum B2) What's In It for YouPaid six-month full-time internship (voluntary internship alongside studies, mandatory internship, or a combination of both possible) Start date: March or April 2027 Location: Freiburg (Breisgau, Germany) Flexible working hours and attractive holiday allowance Mentoring and training to support your growth Hands-on projects with real-world impact in an international environment Application Process Please upload all application documents (a short cover letter, current CV/resume, and transcript of records are required) either as one combined file or as separate files in the “Resume/CV” section of the application form.
