Job Function: Supply Chain Manufacturing Job Sub Function: Plant Management Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium Job Description: About the Role Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director MTO Operational Excellence to be based in Geel, Belgium As a member of the Site Leadership Team reporting to the Sr. Director Operational Excellence, the incumbent in this role will actively shape the development of strategies, programs and roadmaps to achieve the site’s long-term vision. As a senior leader of a launch & grow and/or strategic site, is responsible for implementing and managing effective continuous improvement processes and governance. Participate in formulating and deploying company policies and developing the organization. Drive project portfolio management processes that provide clear and accurate information for effective decision making, to maximize value and mitigate risks. The role has the following high-level responsibilities: JJPS/Operational Excellence: Leads and sustains all JJPS business processes, lean leadership and the Culture of Excellence at the site. Value Stream Mapping - Maps site capabilities, identifies gaps, and delivers reliability improvements for all strategic brands. CIP Pipeline Process: This person is the DRI for the CIP pipeline process, yearly site CIP targets, support business planning/financial cycles, manage the site cost improvement portfolio in Planisware, and the CIP site KPI. Site Performance Management Process: Ensures adherence to performance management cadence, execution & prepares site performance review decks for external platform reporting. Lead Key Site/Global Programs: Lead the deployment & execution of key OPEX Strategic Initiatives and programs such as Smart Change Over & OEE Program, Golden Batch, Waste to Excellence/Yield, ZBB, Ideation Workshops for GP Improvement, etc. Capability Building: Provide guidance and standards for training of YB, GB and BBs at the site. Provides coaching & mentoring to candidates for Project Management and Lean/Six Sigma certifications. Base Business: GEMBA Site Lead. Idea generation programs, Kaizen and Internal/External benchmark. Manage talent development of direct reports through delivery of performance management processes (goal setting, development plan creation and performance reviews). Manage team resources through project planning, resource allocation and prioritization, recruitment, and budget preparation. Change management and stakeholder management for the team. Provide site leadership team with timely OPEX updates. Support OPEX team with decision resolution, escalating where necessary. Represents Site at Regional and Functional OPEX communities. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have the business & financial acumen to understand strategic issues impacting the company and to translate them to value creation and business cases. Certification in Lean/CI, such as Master Black Belt or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt required. Broad understanding of Lean concepts is required. Project Management Certification (FPX/PMP) preferred. Experience leading & deploying JJPS/Production system and RCPS. Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end supply chain is preferred. Demonstrated competency in developing and communicating a clear vision and strategy within a diverse and multicultural environment is required. Experience of working within Technical Teams is preferred. Demonstrated ability in identifying, developing and driving execution of key projects and/or managing a governance model is required. Experience executing Lean Health Checks, site diagnostics or continuous improvement deep dives preferred Experience in workshop facilitations and stakeholder management. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to interact, motivate and lead individuals in a matrix environment, managing complexity, collaborating across boundaries and influencing without authority required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, concurrent priorities many needing immediate resolution. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a diverse team and nurture an inclusive culture to realize the team vision and mission throughout the organization is required. Demonstrated ability in working with internal and external organizations in leveraging and sharing best practice is preferred. Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, self-awareness and adaptability required. Values diverse point of views and optimizes results through diversity. Results oriented with strong track record of success in delivering on objectives.
