The PositionJob Description: Data Integration Engineer Digital Integration Engineer - GG6 - Hyper Automation & Digital Integration (Data Platforms) Hiring Manager: Bartosz Jurek Preferred Location: Hyderabad Other Possible Locations: Pune Target Global Grade: SE6 Job description Digital Integration Engineer focuses on designing and supporting implementation of the business-driven, standards-based, and future-ready integration solutions within a complex, multiple application, or product context. In this role you will partner with various product teams and stakeholders to design the integration solutions in line with the specific requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards. You will lead others to solve complex problems, maintain the vision and roadmap for multiple solutions, provide technical oversight to product teams, and evaluate new technologies to continuously improve existing solutions and manage technical debt. You will lead small to medium (S/M) initiatives, effectively prioritize with stakeholders, and maintain a "bigger picture" view of how various components align with the overall strategic goals. By conducting feasibility studies, evaluating integration solutions for scalability, optimizing performance, and ensuring strict compliance with security standards, your impact will directly influence the ways of working and technical decisions within your product area. Description of the area Job Responsibilities Scope / (Content Leadership) & Accountability/Problem Solving: Takes ownership of ambiguous tasks and topics in the "grey zone" (where there is no defined owner) and successfully drives small to medium (S/M) initiatives at the project, squad, or product level. Challenges the status quo, skillfully navigates group dynamics in diversified settings, and fosters good collaboration, knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring. Stakeholder Management: Prioritizes and communicates with stakeholders effectively and proactively. Maintains a "bigger picture" view to thoroughly understand how various technical components fit into the overall product strategy and goals. Drives information sharing across the product and the functions the role is collaborating with. Impact/Strategy: Acts as a technical mentor and aligns development plans with the global strategy. Actively gives speeches and shares knowledge in internal events (e.g., CoP, Integration All Hands). Engages in the organization of knowledge-sharing events, and gets involved in initiatives or tasks reaching outside of the regular project scope. Conducts feasibility studies and evaluates potential integration solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. Complexity / (Product Size): Operates at the product or site level, collaborating closely as an integration champion with multiple functions and products, making a direct impact on the technical decisions within those products and the ways of working of other product team members. Business / Technical ability: Possesses a deep understanding of the broader technical landscape beyond the specific component being worked on. Formulates and implements technical strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Develops and maintains comprehensive integration documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides. Monitors integration processes and implements improvements to optimize performance and efficiency while ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices. Qualifications Education / Experience Proven hands-on experience (8+ years) in integration engineering or architecture. Strong track record of successfully driving small to medium (S/M) technical initiatives and taking ownership of ambiguous tasks. Proven track record of working across teams in complex enterprise environments. Experience engaging in knowledge-sharing initiatives, acting as a technical mentor, and speaking at internal technical events. Technical Skills Strong knowledge and working experience with API-led, Event Driven, B2B integration Deep expertise and experience (min. 8+ years) in a variety of modern integration platforms, including Mulesoft (must-have), Solace, IBM Sterling, IBM Aspera, SAP IS, Azure Integration Services. Experience with MCP and agentic integration implementation will be a big plus. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation. Strong capability and proven involvement in conducting technical feasibility studies and evaluating solutions for scalability, reliability, and performance. Proficiency in developing and maintaining detailed integration documentation (architecture diagrams, technical specs, user guides). Ability to monitor integration processes, implement performance optimizations, and ensure strict compliance with security standards and best practices.
