What you will be doing You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of MilSatCom Systems Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following: • Assist in the design, development, integration, and testing of systems and subsystems. • Contribute to requirements definition, traceability, and validation processes. • Support system architecture development and modelling using tools such as SysML or MBSE platforms. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and project management. • Assist with system performance analysis and trade studies. • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning. • Support documentation efforts including system specifications, test plans, and design reviews. • Conduct research and stay updated on emerging technologies and industry standards. At Airbus you will work with leading technologies, supporting the design of Defence mission critical systems, designing complex end to end communications systems across the globe. In doing so you will use tools such as: • MBSE/SYSML • Pforge/Jira • DOORs • Enterprise Architect/Cameo Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of MilSatCom Systems Engineer! What we are looking for To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have: A degree level or equivalent within Systems Engineering preferably in the Satcom domain Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Systems Engineering preferably in the Satcom domain Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English) A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
