The Senior Director for Membrane Plants leads Cytiva’s global membrane manufacturing network across three US‑based sites. These facilities produce essential upstream membrane materials that directly feed Cytiva’s Device plants and filtration products worldwide. This leader is accountable for driving manufacturing excellence, capacity expansion, compliance, operational stability, and yield improvement across highly technical membrane processes. The role requires a strategic thinker and operational change agent who understands advanced materials, process engineering, quality systems and the unique challenges of membrane production. This position reports to the Vice President - Manufacturing Operations RFM-Filtration and is part of the manufacturing operations team and will be an on-site role. This role sits at the heart of Cytiva’s growth strategy and requires an experienced, global manufacturing executive capable of raising operational maturity across diverse sites, cultures, and product lines. What you will do: Lead the membrane operations in Westborough, Hauppauge, and Pensacola, ensuring performance excellence and stability across all plants. Drive production capability in a highly technical, process driven manufacturing environment and align membrane capacity, WIP strategy, and supply continuity to downstream device needs. Own end-to-end membrane manufacturing results including yield, quality, scrap, OEE, cycle time, cost, and service. Lead teams in scaling new membrane technologies, process qualifications, and equipment commissioning. Deploy DBS across membrane sites, driving the use of PSP/DIVE, Daily Management, VPM, and standard work and establish operating rhythm, performance governance, and shared standards across all membrane sites. Lead long‑term planning for membrane technology, capacity expansion, process modernization, automation, and digitalization. Lead and develop a strong, capable membrane leadership team as well as leading workforce development, performance, talent and succession planning leading to a high performance and inclusive culture. Who you are: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, operations, or similar; advanced degree preferred. Long standing experience in manufacturing leadership with a strong emphasis on technical/process manufacturing using lean principles. Experience leading multisite global operations in life sciences, advanced materials, filtration, diagnostics, or similar regulated industries strongly preferred. Comfort operating in highly technical, regulated environments, using influence, technical credibility, and structured thinking to drive alignment and results. Robust understanding of lean/DBS specifically Quality and Reliability tools, TPM , root cause analysis, and process capability improvement in a machine driven output environment. Must be a collaborative problem solver, able to work seamlessly with other Plant leaders and OpCo VP to ensure stable membrane flow, aligned capacity, and joint improvement plans. Deeply analytical and process oriented leadership style, with the ability to coach teams in scientific thinking, rootcause analysis, and process capability improvement. Proven ability to lead to complex changes, deliver results, and influence executive level stakeholders. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to travel – 60% domestically and internationally per business needs It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience integrating acquisitions, standing up new manufacturing sites, or leading large-scale network optimization initiatives. Demonstrated capability partnering closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial leaders. The annual salary range for this role is $190,000 - $225,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
