About the job: Overview: Top European Bank with a strategic focus on significantly expanding its U.S. corporate and investment banking franchise is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to contribute to the development and build out of its Securitization financing platform. This role will focus on management of operational responsibilities related to the origination and ongoing servicing of securitization financing transactions provided to BBVA’s CIB clients, transaction monitoring and assistance developing an Asset Backed Commercial Paper conduit for BBVA. The product team focuses on all traditional ABS assets including accounts receivables, auto and equipment loan & leases, consumer installment loans and credit cards, cell phone device receivables and other flow assets. The individual will collaborate closely with the Head of Securitization, the Risk team and BBVA Operations teams that support the Securitization product. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary business interface with internal support and control functions responsible for the ongoing administration of securitization financing transactions, ensuring effective coordination across Portfolio Management, Loan Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, Tax, and other relevant teams. Oversee the operational implementation of new transactions and amendments, partnering with Loan Operations and other internal teams to ensure facilities are accurately established in the bank’s systems and that transaction terms, borrowing mechanics, collateral requirements, pricing, fees, payment waterfalls, and reporting obligations are correctly captured. Coordinate transaction closings and onboarding from a portfolio-management perspective, ensuring a disciplined handoff from Origination and Execution to Portfolio Management and Operations, with clear ownership of post-closing obligations, reporting requirements, controls, and key transaction dates. Partner closely with Loan Operations on the day-to-day administration of financing facilities, including borrowings and repayments, interest and fee calculations, borrowing-base processing, collateral reporting, cash movements, commitment changes, facility extensions, and transaction maturities. Act as a point of escalation for transaction-management and operational issues, coordinating timely resolution of discrepancies, failed processes, reporting exceptions, payment issues, documentation questions, and other matters affecting the proper administration of the portfolio. Partner with Finance and Product Control to ensure accurate accounting, revenue recognition, accruals, fees, balance-sheet classification, profitability reporting, and reconciliation of securitization financing transactions. Partner with Compliance to ensure transactions and counterparties remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies, including KYC/AML, sanctions, conflicts, client suitability, and other relevant compliance requirements. Establish effective controls and reconciliations across front-office and operational systems, ensuring that commitments, outstanding balances, pricing, collateral values, reserves, limits, and other key transaction data are complete and accurate. Develop service standards and governance routines with internal operations teams, including regular forums to review outstanding items, operational incidents, upcoming transaction events, process bottlenecks, and remediation priorities. Maintain a forward calendar of critical transaction events, including renewals, maturities, commitment reductions, amendments, covenant testing dates, reporting deadlines, audits, collateral reviews, and other contractual requirements. Drive continuous improvement of the securitization financing operating model, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, clarify responsibilities, strengthen controls, reduce manual intervention, and improve scalability. Partner with Technology and Operations on automation initiatives, including borrowing-base processing, collateral ingestion, covenant monitoring, reconciliations, transaction reporting, workflow management, and portfolio analytics. Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and control reviews, coordinating information requests and ensuring timely remediation of findings related to securitization financing activities. Represent the Securitization Financing business in relevant bank-wide operational and governance forums, advocating for the infrastructure, resources, systems, and processes required to support the business safely and efficiently. Qualifications: 12+ years of relevant experience in securitization, structured finance, asset-backed lending, specialty finance, leveraged finance, or related credit businesses within a bank, investment bank, specialty finance company, or institutional lender. Significant experience managing securitization financing or asset-backed lending exposures, ideally including warehouse facilities, revolving credit facilities, borrowing-base structures, and other secured financing arrangements. Experience across multiple securitized asset classes preferred, such as consumer loans, auto loans and leases, credit cards, equipment finance, student loans, trade receivables and other specialty-finance receivables. Demonstrated portfolio management experience, including ongoing surveillance, covenant and borrowing-base monitoring, annual reviews, amendments and waivers, risk-rating assessments, watch-list management, stress testing, and management of deteriorating exposures. Strong understanding of asset-level performance analytics, including delinquencies, defaults, net losses, recoveries, prepayments, payment rates, vintage and static-pool analysis, roll rates, concentrations, and other relevant collateral performance metrics. Strong working knowledge of securitization and secured-lending documentation, with the ability to interpret credit agreements, security agreements, servicing agreements, account-control arrangements, intercreditor agreements, borrowing-base provisions, covenants, and related transaction documents. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Loan Operations and transaction-support teams, including experience translating complex financing structures and legal documentation into operational processes and controls. Strong understanding of bank financial and operational processes, including loan accounting, interest and fee calculations, accruals, funding, liquidity, capital usage, risk-weighted assets, profitability measurement, and transaction reconciliation. Working knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to securitization financing, including credit governance, KYC/AML, sanctions, regulatory reporting, internal controls, and applicable risk-management frameworks. Proven ability to operate effectively within a bank's three-lines-of-defense framework, partnering constructively with independent Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and other control functions while maintaining clear first-line accountability. Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, with the ability to analyze collateral data, transaction models, portfolio trends, stress scenarios, concentrations, and risk-adjusted returns. High level of financial and data literacy, with advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with portfolio-management, loan-administration, collateral-reporting, and business-intelligence tools.
