As a Sr Biosciences Account Manager, you'll use your scientific expertise and consultative sales skills to build strong relationships with customers across academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. You'll manage a defined territory, primarily through phone, email and virtual engagement, with some travel to customer sites. You'll contribute to revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, developing existing accounts, and providing solutions that help customers achieve their research and clinical goals. You'll receive comprehensive training in our extensive product portfolio and professional selling techniques, equipping you to have meaningful technical discussions and craft effective value propositions. Success in this role comes from combining scientific knowledge, sales capabilities, and dedication to helping customers make breakthrough discoveries. Keys to Success: Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree required, with 5+ years of professional work experience, including at least 2 years of sales experience within the life sciences industry • Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related life science field • Hands-on laboratory experience or technical background in molecular biology, cell biology, or related areas preferred • Strong understanding of life science research workflows and applications • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to discuss technical concepts • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining customer relationships • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office suite • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities • Results-oriented with proven record of achieving sales targets • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and meetings • Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial • Demonstrates Thermo Fisher's core values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement Benefits: We offer competitive remuneration, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits. Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $32.74–$44.31. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
