The Role BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a Digital Plant Manager, Shared Services, reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Plant Shared Services. The Manager for Shared Services will be responsible for ensuring the performance and uptime of critical manufacturing systems and infrastructure is as per business requirements. BMS Cruiserath Biologics is a highly automated facility incorporating the latest technologies including the Emerson DeltaV Process Automation System, the Syncade Manufacturing Execution System, OEM automation suppliers and a significant investment in data collection and analytics tools. The Manager, Digital Plant Shared Services plays an integral part in providing input for strategy, management, and support of these systems. This is a fixed-term contract role. Key Duties and Responsibilities: As a key member of the Shared Services team, the Manager is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the automation systems and infrastructure. Supports the development of key metrics and drives to meet targets ensuring high performance and availability of the automation systems/infrastructure. Develops and enforces procedures to support the operational/project activities of the shared services team. Provides 24/7 on-call support for the site automation manufacturing systems along with other team members. Works closely with global teams to ensure cross-site alignment on digital plant systems. Ensures effective and efficient level of support and project delivery by supervising, developing, and coaching the Shared Services team and supporting vendors. Liaises closely with the end users to ensure robust business continuity processes are routinely tested. Responsible for the administration of site automation systems (e.g. DeltaV, Syncade, ThinManager, Network Infrastructure). Engages with non-automation IT partners (e.g. IT hosting and user experience partners) ensuring the highest level of general IT support and delivery is maintained for the Cruiserath site. Where required, acts as the local point of contact for enterprise related IT systems and incidents. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or the Life Sciences. Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology (IT)/Automation systems with a broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies including network architecture, resilience, cyber security, storage technology, databases, and hosting concepts. Experience directing system design, configuration, and application of business processes in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment. Core competencies include leadership, communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, flexibility to react to changing business needs, ability to meet deadlines and a commitment to compliance and continuous improvement. Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders. Broad understanding of technologies and processes that support business systems. Demonstrated ability to follow project management methodology, planning and implementing projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of EU, FDA and GMP guidelines. Knowledge of the DeltaV automation system is required. Experience of the windows operating systems, SQL databases, DNS, Active Directory and Domains management. Functional knowledge of OSI-PI and manufacturing execution systems is desired. Knowledge of ITIL and experience managing a team using the core ITIL framework. Knowledge of cyber security and enforcing a strict cyber resilience program.
