This position reports to: Area Sales Manager __ This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an electrical background who is passionate about building a career in sales and customer engagement. Whether you are already in a customer-facing role or looking to transition from a technical position, you will be supported to develop your commercial skills and grow into a successful sales professional. In this role, you will work closely with customers to identify service opportunities, promote a broad portfolio of solutions, and build strong, long-term relationships. By combining your technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, you will play a key role in delivering value to customers while developing your career within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues. The work model for the role is: hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Develop and communicate strategic business plans, drive growth initiatives, and identify opportunities using installed base (IB) insights and market trends. Promote and sell the full service portfolio—including upgrades, retrofits, and value‑add solutions—while expanding ABB’s footprint across target markets. Build strong customer relationships by understanding needs, translating them into service offerings, ensuring satisfaction, and supporting lifecycle management. Manage the full sales cycle: generating leads, maintaining CRM data, preparing proposals, monitoring pipelines, conducting sales visits, and ensuring accurate pricing, risk assessment, and contract administration. Qualifications for the role Qualified Electrician, or tertiary qualifications in Electrotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline Experience in technical sales, or customer-facing technical role. Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear, Low Voltage (LV) systems, and Protection & Control solutions, with experience across a diverse range of industry sectors. Sound understanding of the Western Australian industrial market and customer operating environments. Experience in technical support and service delivery, with a strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and compliance standards. What's in it for you?
