The PositionThe Opportunity The Product Manager – RIS/B2B is the primary technical and operational expert for the Roche Information Solutions (RIS) portfolio, specifically focusing on B2B digital products, Lab Insights, and Healthcare Insights across the region. Working in close collaboration with Global Product Hubs, this role drives software lifecycle management and phase-in/phase-out (PiPo) implementation for digital platforms. Additionally, this role is critical for commercial success, delivering detailed technical tender support for IT-heavy procurement, equipping local sales teams with specialized software training, and managing the local coordination of centralized marketing notifications and material introductions along with customer presentations and customer interactions. This role ensures immense commercial and operational impact by bridging the gap between highly complex global digital/software solutions and local field execution. This role ensure securing technical wins in highly competitive hospital IT and laboratory informatics tenders, and ensuring strict compliance with customer marketing notifications and system updates, this role directly protects and grows market share within the rapidly evolving digital healthcare landscape. Major Responsibilities - Portfolio & Lifecycle Management: Drive specific portfolio call-to-actions, meticulously managing product life cycles, material introductions, and Phase-In/Phase-Out (PiPo) transitions to ensure zero disruption to customers or local revenue streams. - Technical Tender Support: Act as the ultimate subject matter expert for the RIS and B2B digital portfolios, providing highly detailed software specifications, IT architecture requirements, and data security documentation required to win complex procurement processes and informatics tenders. - Technical Training & Sales Enablement: Deliver and coordinate advanced technical product training for local commercial teams in strict alignment with global standards, ensuring sales teams can confidently articulate the value of Lab and Healthcare Insights. Engage and motivate sales teams around complex technical requirements and digital portfolio transitions. - Cross-Border Collaboration: Actively represent local affiliate interests within Global Product Hubs and Regional Communities of Practice (CoP), ensuring regional IT infrastructure realities and data privacy needs are factored into global digital product strategies. Stakeholders & Relationships - Global Product Hubs & Regional CoPs: Acts as the primary interface to represent local technical/IT needs, provide feedback on digital product activations, and align on global training standards. - Integrated Marketing Partners (B2B): Works closely to provide the deep technical specifications and digital value narratives needed to build high-impact solution marketing campaigns. - Tender & Key Account Management Teams: Partners intimately to provide the technical backbone and IT documentation required for strategic tender submissions (especially involving CIOs and hospital IT boards). - Network Commercial & Sales Teams: Influences and enables the sales force through rigorous digital solution training and platform transition management. - Quality, Regulatory, IT & Data Privacy Teams: Collaborates to ensure Marketing Notifications (MNs) are distributed compliantly and digital product transitions/activations align with local data privacy laws and regulatory statuses. Financial Scope & Budget Responsibilities - Pricing Implementation: Directly responsible for the local pricing strategies (including subscription/SaaS models) for the RIS/B2B portfolio during product activations. - Tender Revenue Protection: Exerts massive influence on the affiliate’s revenue by securing technical compliance in high-value, multi-year laboratory IT and digital solutions tenders. - Operational Efficiency: Ensures cost-effective product transitions (PiPo) to minimize disruptions during software upgrades and digital material introductions. Leadership Skills & Lateral Management - This role is an Individual Contributor position requiring exceptional lateral leadership, managing high technical complexity across the RIS portfolio without direct reporting lines. Who You Are Minimum Requirements - Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, health informatics, Digital solution or specialized technical sales within the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or Healthcare IT industry. - Subject Matter Expertise: Deep, specialized product knowledge in Digital Health, Laboratory Information Systems, Lab Insights, and Healthcare Data Analytics. - Tender & Procurement Acumen: Strong experience navigating highly technical IT tender specifications and hospital procurement processes (engaging with IT directors and CIOs). - Matrix Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence internal sales leaders, cross-functional local teams, and global hubs without direct authority. - Change Agility: Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, navigate ambiguity, and drive new ways of working within a transforming global framework. - Authentic & Courageous Leadership: You build trust through transparent communication and unwavering integrity. Preferred Requirements - Professional Background: Experience managing complex software Phase-In/Phase-Out (PiPo) strategies, SaaS pricing, and handling software-related regulatory/marketing notifications. - Education: University degree in a relevant scientific, IT, or healthcare discipline (e.g., Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science); advanced business degree is a plus. Competencies & Mindset - Product Expertise: Customer Area (CA) focused product knowledge required to act as the primary technical expert for specific digital product lines (RIS, B2B Products, Lab Insights, Healthcare Insights). - Technical Training: Ability to deliver and coordinate software/digital product training in alignment with global standards. - Technical Tender Support: Ability to provide detailed IT and product specifications for complex procurement processes. - Cross-Border Collaboration: Skilled in working with Global Product Hubs and Regional Communities of Practice (CoP) and ability to effectively represent local IT/market interests within regional and global teams. - Portfolio Management: Proven capability in driving specific portfolio call-to-actions (e.g., Phase-In/Phase-Out [PiPo] transitions for digital platforms). - Sales Enablement: Proven ability to engage and motivate sales teams around technical software requirements, SaaS pricing strategies, and digital portfolio transitions.
