THE ROLE: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Program Management, to lead and drive cross-functional Optics programs with a strong emphasis on technology enablement and supplier management. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage complex ecosystems, ensure operational efficiency, and fulfill program commitments. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proactive supplier engagement, with successes leveraging structured problem-solving related to capacity expansion and risk mitigation, particularly in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industries. THE PERSON: As a Senior Manager within this group, you will coordinate efforts across diverse teams to drive alignment, manage supplier relationships, and ensure program deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule expectations. You will proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and foster collaboration with engineering development teams, Supply chain, Procurement, Finance, and other key stakeholders to achieve shared goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Leadership: Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve seamless commercial alignment and other shared objectives. Actively coordinate and align priorities across organizations, ensuring collaboration and resolution of competing interests without relying on direct authority. Ensure alignment of cost, schedule, and resource objectives with company-level strategy and planning horizons. Supplier Management: Establish new supplier relationships for enabling technologies and capabilities for the Optics ecosystem Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external partners to ensure alignment with program goals. Drive supplier capacity expansion scale to ensure Optics technology enablement Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier scalability and resource support. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate cross-development team dependencies and communications. Lead recurring program reviews with senior leadership, clearly articulating status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations. Process Improvement: Initiate significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency. Scale program management capabilities, tools, and best practices across the organization. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience managing complex programs, with a strong focus on supplier engagement and capacity expansion. Experience in Optics technologies, Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or technology-intensive industries. Demonstrated success in supplier management, including risk mitigation and manufacturing capability improvements. Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills. Horizontal leadership/matrix management experience. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. Formal project management education (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is highly desirable.
