The RoleAs a Surgical Equipment Manager, you will be part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support organization, playing a critical role in managing strategic customer relationships and driving the adoption of Alcon's surgical portfolio. In this position, you will partner with hospitals, surgical centers, and key healthcare stakeholders to understand their needs, provide innovative solutions, and support the growth of Alcon's surgical equipment business. You will develop account strategies, lead commercial initiatives, and ensure customers receive exceptional support throughout their partnership with Alcon. Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Manage strategic accounts and customer relationships within the ophthalmic surgical market. Drive sales growth and achieve commercial targets for Alcon's surgical equipment portfolio. Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, operating room teams, procurement departments, and other key stakeholders. Identify customer challenges and develop tailored solutions that support clinical and operational objectives. Develop and execute customer development strategies and key account plans aligned with business goals. Lead account planning activities, including opportunity identification, market analysis, and business development initiatives. Expand relationships with existing customers by introducing solutions that address evolving clinical and business needs. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making. Prepare, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements and contracts. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, and Technical Support. Organize and support customer events, product demonstrations, workshops, and educational programs. Maintain accurate customer data and account activity within Alcon's CRM system. Drive execution of sales plans and ensure delivery against agreed performance objectives. Support the development of team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, training, and sharing best practices where applicable. Experience in medical device sales, surgical equipment, healthcare account management, or a related commercial environment. Proven ability to build and develop relationships with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders. Strong commercial mindset with a track record of achieving sales and business objectives. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking and the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
