Job Summary The Quality Technician supports manufacturing quality systems through auditing, data collection, calibration management, documentation control, and quality improvement activities. This role works closely with Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and internal quality processes. The Quality Technician assists in root cause investigations, corrective actions, process monitoring, and quality system administration while helping drive continuous improvement initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities • Support Quality Engineers and Manufacturing teams in maintaining product and process quality standards. • Perform routine product, process, and systems audits to verify compliance with quality requirements and work instructions. • Assist with nonconformance investigations, containment activities, corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives. • Review nonconforming materials and support disposition activities in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams. • Maintain calibration records and coordinate calibration activities to ensure measurement equipment remains compliant and available. • Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics and manufacturing data to support decision-making and process improvement activities. • Monitor process performance and quality trends and escalate concerns as appropriate. • Support implementation and follow-up of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations, corrective actions, and quality improvement projects. • Create and maintain quality documentation, visual aids, inspection instructions, quality alerts, and related records. • Assist with new product introductions (NPI), validation activities, pilot builds, and manufacturing trials. • Review defect samples, quality trends, and inspection findings to support root cause analysis activities. • Support preparation for customer audits, internal audits, and quality management system reviews. • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation within company systems. • Adhere to all quality, safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical training in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. • Minimum two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, engineering support, or related environment preferred. • Experience working with quality systems, audits, calibration programs, corrective actions, and nonconformance processes preferred. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality documentation. • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Experience working within ERP, MES, or quality management systems preferred. • Understanding of root cause analysis, CAPA, process audits, and quality improvement methodologies preferred. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10–12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25–40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.
