Our team in Austin, TX or Alpharetta, GA is looking for a Senior Analyst, Pricing & Contracting. This is a fully onsite role and will be based in either Austin, TX or Alpharetta, GA. The Senior Analyst, Pricing & Contract will interface with Sales, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Pricing, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, OEC, and Legal to apply business management principles and financial concepts that maximize the company’s performance against sales and profit goals and minimize risk. The ideal candidate will support Strategic Accounts sales team responsible for working with economic customers such as Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). Analyst has an in depth understanding of complex business issues involving GPOs and IDNs. Analyst ensures the timely review, detailed financial analysis, and administration of sales request for pricing adjustments related to GPOs and IDNs. Develop, in conjunction with the Strategic Accounts sales team, the business rationale to support the request for adjusted pricing. What You’ll Work On Partner with sales team to assist in the management of contracts and pricing as it relates to customers and contractual requirements. Own contract creation from development to execution utilizing internal Abbott and external customer templates as well as creation of custom language. Work within guidelines for contract approvals, pricing approvals, and contract creation. Seeking approvals when outside of established guidelines. Understand contractual obligations and subsequent impacts on various contracting processes and products. Review and redline business contract terms, coordinating with internal stakeholders on customer redline contract edits. When applicable, vet extended terms through other departments including IP legal, privacy, OEC, legal, technical services, cybersecurity, finance, risk management and customer service. Must be able to appropriately determine the correct department for review, clearly and concisely explain customer requests and associated risks, then incorporate responses into contractual terms. Negotiate contractual terms with internal and external customers. Possess a sense of urgency and ability to work under customer driven deadlines. This includes the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Works within audit guidelines for contract approval and contract creation. Execution of formal requests for proposals (RFP)s/(RFI)s. Must be customer-service oriented with aligned skill sets to support sales team and their price/contract requirements. Support the team Group Lead and Contract Manager with the development and implementation of price approval requests, basic pricing analyses, and contract creation / maintenance. Assist with training sales team, typically on a day-to-day, deal-to-deal basis, on requirements, policies, and procedures. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to arrive at a viable solution when challenged with complex situations and customer requests. Possess a sense of urgency and ability to work under customer driven deadlines. This includes the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Must be able to work in a team environment and with diverse workstyles. Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned. Communicates in a professional manner with internal stakeholders and customers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Bachelors Degree OR An equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum 5-7 years of combined experience in business, accounting, or finance.
