About the Team The Global Workplace Safety manages the development, planning and implementation of company industrial safety programs and the administrative supervision of the security organization. About the Role As an Executive Protection Specialist at Workday, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive security services to our executive leadership. You will play a critical role in proactively identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring seamless and secure travel, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our executives in all settings. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate and respond to potential threats will be essential to the success of this role. Responsibilities: Develop and implement tailored executive protection plans based on comprehensive threat and vulnerability assessments. Provide close protection to assigned executives during domestic and international travel, ensuring their safety and security at all times. Conduct advance security surveys of travel routes, accommodations, meeting locations, and residences to identify and mitigate potential risks. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Global Security Operations Center, Travel, Administrative Staff) and external partners (e.g., local law enforcement, security vendors) to ensure seamless and secure executive movements. Maintain a high level of situational awareness and proactively identify potential threats or security concerns. Respond effectively and professionally to security incidents, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events. Provide secure transportation for executives, adhering to all safety regulations and established protocols. Adhere to all Workday policies and procedures, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in executive protection. Collaborate with other security team members on global security initiatives and projects. About You Required Qualifications: Formal training and certification in executive protection (e.g., Executive Security International (ESI), Nineveh, Oatman). Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in executive protection, preferably within a corporate environment or a similar high-demand security field. Prior experience working in a global organization. Knowledge of international security protocols and considerations. Emergency medical training (e.g., First Responder, EMT). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Other Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in conducting threat and vulnerability assessments and developing effective protection plans. Extensive experience in providing close protection during domestic and international travel. Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and relevant security technologies. Excellent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and diplomacy skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders. High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. Willingness to work flexible hours and travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, often with short notice. Proficiency in relevant security software and technology. Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
