This position reports to: Vice President, Software __ Your role and responsibilities As Head of Product Management and UX for PG Software at B&R, you will define and drive the business and portfolio strategy for our software offerings. You will translate market requirements and customer needs into a competitive portfolio, align business models and go-to-market approaches with development roadmaps, and lead the Product Management and UX organization. In this role, you will act as the “voice of the customer”, ensuring that product priorities, functionality, and user experience create maximum business value and support long-term success across the full product lifecycle. In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. The work model for the role is: onsite with 10 home office days a month Define portfolio strategy, priorities, pricing, business models, and go-to-market plans for the PG Software portfolio. Lead and develop the Product Management and UX organization, including people management, coaching, and succession planning. Represent the voice of the customer by prioritizing backlog and aligning closely with R&D, Sales, and customer-facing teams. Drive product success through lifecycle management, performance tracking, and continuous improvement of product management processes and collaboration models. What it takes to Run what runs the world Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 12–15 years of product management experience with a strong track record in industrial automation. Background in IDE software, hard real-time software, and applications for machine builders. Proven ability to define and defend product priorities based on customer needs and data-driven insights. Good leadership experience with a focus on people development, coaching, and team growth. Experience in Sales or Application Engineering in manufacturing or industrial automation is an advantage. Strategic mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills in German and English; Willingness to travel up to 40%. The minimum compensation, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is 4,905.47 EUR monthly for a full-time position as of May 2026.
