SMRT's offering covers drilling, mechanical cutting, loading and hauling, demolition and recycling, and various solutions to increase automation. Job Title: - Junior Service Engineer – Digital. This position will be based at SK Mine. Purpose of Role: - To support the digital hardware and telemetry ecosystem (SANDVIK) at site under, ensuring basic hardware upkeep, data collection, and first-line issue reporting for New Machines’ digital system. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to maintain a safe & healthy work environment for self and others at the workplace. Comply with Sandvik & HZL safety standards as mentioned in the contract. Report any incident or accident to Reporting Manager. Assist the team in execution of daily/weekly hardware maintenance checks as per the plan. Support installation and commissioning of digital hardware (docking station, cables, connectors, sensors, etc.) on new machines, under direct supervision of Digital System Specialist. Perform basic troubleshooting of associated hardware components (docking station, cables, connectors, nuts & bolts) – not the main hardware unit, which stays with OEM/Factory. Assist in collecting Production Drill Telemetry data on a fortnight basis, ensuring accuracy and timely upload/reporting. Immediately report any hardware damage noticed during daily checks to the Shift In charge/Manager. Maintain accurate logs/records of daily activities, checks, and data collection for review by seniors. Escalate any connectivity data, or configuration issues to the Specialist/Service-Engineer promptly rather than attempting unsupervised fixes on main system. Qualifications: Diploma or B-Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science (or any other Graduate in relevant stream). Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience, fresher with strong technical aptitude may be considered. Exposure to mining/industrial equipment, telemetry system, or field service work is an advantage. Skills and Competencies: Basic understanding of Electrical/Electronic hardware and wiring. Familiarity with data logging/telemetry concepts (training will be provided). Willingness to work in field/mine-site conditions and shift-based schedules. Computer literacy (MS Office, Programming language) Good Communication skills to report issues clearly to seniors. Safety-conscious mindset and willingness to follow SOP strictly. Other Requirements Willingness to travel/relocate to site as required. Physically fit for fieldwork in mining environment (subject to medical fitness check).
