The Silicon One Productization team pioneers manufacturing and test solutions that accelerate time-to-market and deliver best-in-class supply chain performance. We are seeking a skilled SLT ASIC Engineer to manage volume test operations across our OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) partners and consistently meet production targets. In this role, you will work with advanced networking silicon, resolving complex hardware and software challenges in close partnership with ASIC Design engineering and our OSAT’s. What You’ll Do Our team defines test requirements for groundbreaking IP, focusing on minimizing test overhead for both design and production. You will develop custom test solutions for a diverse product portfolio, ranging from high-power, large-die packages to cost-sensitive devices. Production Oversight: Partner with ASIC Design and OSAT teams to transition SLT (System Level Test) programs from the Cisco lab to full-scale production. Technical Response: Serve as the primary point of contact for production issues. You will lead the investigation and resolution of hardware and software test challenges, ensuring targets for throughput, yield, cycle time, and uptime are met. Strategic Planning: Align OSAT roadmaps and capacity ramp plans with Cisco’s product delivery schedules. Manage and maintain production test hardware. OSAT Management: Evaluate test OSAT, recommend new site qualifications, and oversee the execution of qualification activities. Operational Support: Provide engineering expertise to the Manufacturing Operations team for quarterly planning, shipping reviews, and continuous production optimization. Data-Driven Improvement: Collaborate with the Data and Automation Solutions team to perform statistical yield and correlation analysis on large datasets, driving actionable test and yield improvements. Who You’ll Work With You will collaborate with ASIC design teams and various Supply Chain operations groups within Supply Chain Operations to help shape and influence the Cisco Silicon One Productization strategy. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications Education: BSEE (or higher) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering. Experience: 7+ years in ATE or SLT volume production environments, preferably with high-end compute or networking devices. Analytical Skills: Proven ability to debug, analyze, and perform root-cause analysis on manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. You are proactive in driving issues to closure through optimization and preventive measures. Technical Proficiency: Strong engineering fundamentals with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. Essential Skills: Expertise in Linux/Unix, Python programming, and TCP/IP network configuration. Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with OSAT operations management, manufacturing processes, and yield optimization strategies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hontech ATC and Chroma handlers. Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. High level of motivation, energy, and a strong commitment to teamwork. Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
