Touch Up Painter Location: Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland Job ID: R0097030 About the RoleAs a Touch-Up Painter at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions in Ballygawley, you will inspect, prepare and repair painted surfaces on our crushing and screening equipment. Your attention to detail will ensure products meet our standards for finish, appearance and quality before dispatch. Key ResponsibilitiesInspect painted components and finished products to identify defects, damage or areas requiring repair. Prepare surfaces for touch-up painting through sanding, masking and cleaning. Mix and apply paint using brushes, spray equipment and approved techniques. Repair scratches, chips and other imperfections, blending repairs to achieve a consistent colour and finish. Work with production and quality colleagues to resolve recurring defects and reduce rework. Maintain safe, tidy work areas and comply with all health, safety, environmental requirements, including COSHH, and Sandvik quality standards. Essential Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience in paint touch-up, spray painting, wet painting or finishing. Experience matching colours and maintaining consistent finishes to cosmetic quality standards. Knowledge of paint application techniques and surface preparation. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately. High awareness of health and safety, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. No formal qualifications are required; however, candidates must be able to accurately interpret work instructions, job sheets and safety documentation. Preferred Qualifications & SkillsExperience repairing paint finishes on industrial components, vehicles or heavy equipment. Experience blending localised repairs into existing painted surfaces. Familiarity with paint mixing ratios and technical data sheets. Knowledge of common paint defects and corrective techniques.
